Dr. Anurag Sahu is an adult cardiologist at Emory University Hospital. He is an Associate Professor of Cardiology and an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Emory School of Medicine. His areas of expertise include adult congenital heart disease, advanced cardiac imaging, and cardiac intensive care.  He developed the cardiac intensive care service line at Emory University Hospital, leads the high-risk cardiac pregnancy program, is the director of the cardiac MRI/CT fellowship program, and serves on faculty for the adult congenital heart program at Emory which is the largest of its kind in the Southeast. He has a passion for prevention and works extensively with his patients on realistic goal setting and what he believes are the 5 facets of maintaining health - mindset,  mental health, sleep, nutrition, and mobility.In this conversation Dr. Sahu explains congenital heart disease, talks about trends of disease and its treatment over the past few decades, and discussed the variety of lifestyle choices and behaviors (such as food choices and habits, exercise, sleep and how we spend our time) that can significantly impact the heart health. This podcast is brought to you by Emory Lifestyle Medicine & Wellness.
