Conquering Death and Darkness, Christ the Eternal King

from Sunday Homilies with the Redemptorists · host Novena Church

In this last week of the liturgical year, we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. Fr. Terence reflects on the often-asked question of why God allows suffering, and reminds us that Christ experienced pain and death but overcame death through His resurrection, bringing eternal life to all. This victory assures us that Christ, our King, has conquered death and darkness and that He walks with us through our struggles. In moments of pain, grief, despair or anger, we are called to continue to live our lives with courage and love, trusting that Christ’s light will guide us through our darkest times. Go out and tell the world, that Christ is the eternal King. -Sunday Homily by Fr. Terence Wee, C.Ss.R. (24 November 2024)
