Consent

If you only want to listen to one episode of this podcast, this is the one for you! Consent is not a vibe. It’s not silence. It’s not endurance. In this essential bonus episode of The Kink Compass, Chris breaks consent all the way down. Psychologically, ethically, and legally. We explore what real consent is, what it is not, when it can be withdrawn, what must happen when it is, and what the law actually says in Norway, the USA, Canada, and Australia. This is a trauma-informed, no-myths, no-loopholes conversation about power, agency, regret, violation, nervous systems, and responsibility. Not a comfortable episode but a necessary one. If today’s episode brings up difficult feelings and you need support, you can contact local sexual assault or crisis services in your country.
