Contentment (Santosha): How we can learn to be happy with what we have.
from The Happy Yoga Podcast · host Jo Hutton
Contentment (Santosha): the second of the observations (Niyamas). It is advisable to listen to "The Yoga Sutras" episode before you listen to this one. You're not going to be surprised to hear that the modern world isn't designed to make us feel content, and neither is the human brain! Our brains are there to keep us alive and safe from harm (making us content is low on the list of its priorities!)In this episode, Jo talks about how we can find inner peace and contentment when we focus on the things that we already have rather than always searching for more! Happiness is attainable at every moment if we choose it, but only if we stop relying on external factors to provide it. When we do this, we can cultivate a sense of contentment and gratitude.● Happy Yoga online community● Jo’s Instagram● Join the Facebook group here● Happy Yoga Newcastle website● Newcastle Yoga School website This is a public episode.
