COSATU says while Deputy Finance Minister David Masondo's resignation as Public Investment Corporation Chairperson comes amid troubling allegations, the PIC has made significant progress in tackling corruption since the state capture era. Parliamentary Coordinator Matthew Parks says the federation remains concerned by reports of alleged wrongdoing, stressing that the PIC manages more than R3.6 trillion in investments, with 87% belonging to the Government Employees Pension Fund.
