It's official, on December 11, 2020 BNT162b2, aka the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 received Emergency Use Authorization by the United States Food and Drug Administration. As the first vaccine against the coronavirus approved for use in the United States, its acceptance amongst the general public will be critical in curbing spread of the virus and ending the pandemic as we know it.
