Covid, the labour market and policy

from Die ekonomie minuut · host Waldo Krugell

A new research note from the RESEP group at Stellenbosch University provides an overview of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the South African labour market. It also evaluates the policy that has been followed. Therein lies an important question about continuing the Presidential Employment Stimulus Program and the sustainability of the fiscal position I spoke about yesterday. This episode is supported by the NWU Business School. Errors and omissions are my own.
