Creating Soft Surroundings

from The Inspirational Corner · host Stylicia Bowden

“Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.” ~Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.~ For the last few months, I have been on an intimate journey of letting go of hardship, embracing softness, and creating my definition of what a soft life looks like for me. As a black woman in America, I know how we have settled for society's stereotypical ideas of black women carrying the load. However, I realize how often I embrace the idea of always being the strong one and not understanding the detriment it had on my mental health. In this episode, I discuss the importance of defining your idea of a soft lifestyle, figuring out what you need to implement a soothing environment, and creating soft surroundings in a hardcore world. ✨Show Notes✨ Check Out My New Book: 💕If you are ready to heal your love wounds and dive deeper into your self-love journey, check out my new book, 28 Days of Love: A Self-Love Journey https://tinyurl.com/yv9mujh8 Download My Self-Care ebook... 💕To start your self-care journey, download my ebook: https://payhip.com/b/znTZ Join My Blog..... 💕To learn about how to feel inspired, take action & be empowered, go to www.theinspirationalcorner.net 💕If you enjoyed this episode, leave a Spotify or Apple Podcast review.
