Cryptid Files: The Jersey Devil & Flatwoods Monster
from Low Expectations Hosted by Nicole and Lyndsay
In this spine-tingling episode of The Low Expectations Podcast, we crack open the Cryptid Files to explore two legendary monsters that have haunted local folklore for generations. First up: the Jersey Devil—a winged, horned creature said to lurk in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, terrorizing travelers and leaving behind decades of reported sightings. Then we head to 1952 West Virginia, where the Flatwoods Monster, a towering alien-like figure with glowing eyes and a metallic dress, allegedly descended from the skies in one of the eeriest UFO-meets-cryptid cases in American history. Tune in as we blend creepy accounts, folklore history, and just the right amount of sarcasm—because, hey, we’re still keeping those expectations low. 👽 Follow us on Instagram: @lowexpectationspodcast 📩 Got a cryptid tale or hot take?
