Good morning, city reached church. Oh, come on. There we go. My gosh.
You heard Crystal saying about marching around the church. I was thinking I hope the walls don't fall down here. But if they do, but walls are coming down. If you read that story in Joshua, it says that Joshua told them, he says march around the city seven times.
So the first six days they only march around once. The seventh day they marched around seven times. And he says when you shout to the Lord, the walls will come down. And like, can I get a little shout today?
Can we shout to the Lord? Like walls are coming down. We're like, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo. Come on.
Yeah, there we go. Good things are happening. Well, God is so good. He's touching lives today.
I'm excited today. Just take a couple minutes. First of all, let me wish you a no first guess. What guess do we have today?
I know I met quite a few of this morning. Just lift your hand up. All right, we have quite a few. Why don't you turn around and give somebody like a little fist bump today?
A little fist bump. I'm personally a hugger. I prefer to hug over bumping. You know, welcome somebody to church.
Tell them, say, hey, we're glad you're here. You're going to leave better than when you came in. God's got something for you today. You guys believe that God has something?
Right? I came expecting. I'm ready to preach, but I actually came. I came expecting to receive, because I'm not preaching today, but I want to wish you guys this Labor Day weekend.
And so I want to wish you a happy Labor Day weekend. I really just felt like this. I want to just declare this over you today. When Moses is just given his last instruction to the children of Israel, Deuteronomy chapter 8.
I think it's round verse 12, or give or take. Some of the blessings that he's releasing to them for their perfect obedience, which they couldn't keep. But in the new covenant, we have Jesus' perfect obedience that qualifies us for every blessing. He said that God will bless all the work of your hand.
And so I just want to say, Father, I just thank you for blessing the work of our hand. Lord, I pray for everyone that has a job that they would advance in that job, that you'd give them creative ideas, that they would stand out to their employers as somebody who stands out from the crowd and that it will be because of Jesus shining through in their life. Father, for those that don't have a job, Lord, I pray for open doors of opportunity. I pray that you would connect them with the right people, that you would grace them, and give them a chance, Lord, to bless their work of their hand, too.
And we ask it in a mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen.
I'm excited today. God's got something great for us. Just a couple announcements. This Thursday, this will be our third Thursday.
We have a Thursday evening service. So if we just started number three, man, I get a shout for that. You know, we just changed our mission statement of the church, and it's equipping the one that knows Jesus to reach the one that needs Jesus. And so if you know Jesus, you need to be equipped properly to effectively reach other people that need Jesus in every shape and form that they may need Him in.
And so we're spending Thursday nights, we're going through the book of Ephesians. And so this week, I'm going to be teaching from Ephesians 1, verses 7 and 8, that say, in Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. So we're going to unpack that verse. It's got so much truth in it, and I'm excited to share from Ephesians 1, 7.
So that's Thursday night. And then the other thing I want to mention is it's three Sundays from now, which is the 22nd. So Sunday the 22nd, three weeks from today, we're having a picnic after church. So it'll just be, we'll say, give or take 1230, but church will provide the main food.
Please bring like a covered dish, side, whatever you want to call it. My wife told me, she said, tell her to bring a covered dish, and like, do people even know what a covered dish is anymore? Like, I feel like that's a 70s term. Like, I grew up in a church where we had covered dish lunch, like, well, what's that?
But don't bring a dish that's wrapped in cellophane. Like, bring something in it. So bring a side to share. We'll have a great picnic three weeks from today.
I'm trying to thank you. I've got a couple of things exciting coming down the pike next month. We'll hold on to those. Kids, if you have your kids, you're new here, kids, you can go downstairs.
We have kids church available for you. And if you're new here, for the first time here, if you have a card in front of you, there's a QR code on it. It should be in the back of the chair in front of you can scan that QR code. It'll take you to our website and allow you to connect with us and find out a little bit more about city-reach church and what we are all about and what we love to do.
So again, I want to say if you're a guest, welcome, glad to have you here. And when you're here, you're part of our family. So we're glad to have you here. Alright, I think that's all in the way of announcements.
I get the pleasure and honor of introducing our highly sought-after friend and person who has been connected with our ministry. He doesn't really need an introduction, but I'm good more anyway. Our current men's home director, Curtis Pulaski, will be bringing the word today. Come on up, Curtis.
Let's give Curtis a big hand. I've known this guy for just about eight years now. Curtis has been connected with city-reach Cumberland for just about eight years. I've seen tremendous growth in this man's life.
He's a man that pursues the presence of God. He's a worshiper. He's a prophetic voice. And we're just excited to receive what God's laid on your heart today.
And I know it's going to be great and you're going to do an awesome job. And so just God bless you. I'm excited to hear what God has for us today. Let's give Curtis another warm welcome.
Oh, amen. Are you guys ready to get lost in the sauce? I don't know, the sauce of the spirit. If there's a sauce in the spirit, I want to get lost in the sauce with you guys, right?
So I do. I just want to stay. I wish the worship was still going on. I don't have power points.
I'm going to touch on a lot of scripture. But I do. I really wish we were still. We are in the atmosphere of worship now.
Even when the word comes forth, we should be worshiping him because he's God. He's the creator. He is the giver of all life. He is the founder of everything solid and good that we base our entire existence on.
Before the foundations of the earth were ever even established, he was. And then he spoke and things became. He formed a man out of the dust and breathed life were spiritual beings. I hope I can really even get into my message because these songs we were singing come rest on us, come like a fire, come like a flood, you know.
He didn't give us a spirit of fear, right? A spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind. There is no fear in his love. There is nothing that holds us back from approaching him.
And it's really what we were created to be and to do is to be with him. To worship him like we did this morning. There are no walls between him and us and him. The idea is no matter what is taking place in your life, you can come and run to your father.
It's the only way we are going to find healing and deliverance and freedom and sanctification. All this big Christian stuff that I believe all of us if we are here, we long for it. We long to be like Jesus. I believe it.
If you are a Christian, do not long for these things. Anyone out there, raise your hand if you long for these things. Everyone in here should raise their hand. And I am telling you, it's his spirit that brings us into all those things.
As I have grown in my journey and walk with the Lord, I realize I can tap into the spirit of God, which is his presence that he abides in us. I better stick to my notes. I want to talk about worship today. There are three things I want to talk about.
One is worship. What we are experiencing now is the presence of God. It's a worship to be in his presence. The essence of worship.
I also want to talk about how the rightful place of worship puts him in his rifle. When we begin to worship God, the only true God, the one and only, the alphan Omega, when we begin to worship him, it puts everything in his proper place. It restores, I want to talk about worship and I want to talk about our stored image of who God is. When we begin to truly worship him and open ourselves up to his presence, we begin to know who he is.
Whatever, I don't care what you were taught, religion has taught you, what programs have taught you. We were talking about this morning in the office here, that it's the revelation of God. Jesus asked Peter, who do they say I am? Who do you say I am?
Some call you a prophet, some call you a teacher, some call you, I don't know, just a good guy, you know. He asked Peter, what do you call him? He said, you're the son of the living God. And Jesus said, man, man, do not reveal this to you.
You didn't figure this out on your own. God the Father has revealed and shown you this. I just want to say, I want to focus on worship. Talk about restoring our image of God, who he is simply, you know, it's not complicated.
And then restoring our image of us, me and you. Because I believe when we begin to truly worship God, I truly believe in my walk this far that it is our purpose in life. We were created to worship Him, created to intimately be involved in the dynamics of His presence, His Spirit, the things of His Spirit, His Kingdom. And in that, we get a restored image of Him, a true image of who He is, and in that it radically changes our lives.
And we can become by His grace, by His Spirit, who we're really created to be our purpose. So those are the points, worship, restored image of Him, and it restored image of ourselves. You see my title up there, I know who I am because I know I am. Seth jacked it all up for me.
The title is supposed to mean, it means everything that's up there to you. I am delivered. I am healed. I am the salt of the earth.
I am under grace, right? I was chosen. I was knitted together in my mother's womb. It's the idea of knowing God called Himself to Moses, the great I am.
I am, but I am. There is no other God. You know, one of the things that devil tried to tempt Adam, and he was really, you won't die. You'll become like gods.
But the reality was, and I'm going to get into it, is we were created to be like God, originally, in the garden. When it all began, the scripture says it will be in the end like it was in the beginning. And I believe even here and now, we can tap into this through the Holy Spirit. So I know who I am because I know I am.
We need to know who we are because we know God. There's a song called Whole Heart. It's by Christian Stanfield. It's on a passion album.
And it says in that song, I know who I am because of who you are. It's put a little different, but I know who I am because I know the Father. I know He's my Father. All right.
So I want to just make the statement here. I believe, I've shared this, I discovered that I believe our greatest purpose, we were created to worship God. God and man to be one in loving communion. Jesus calls us to be worshipers of Spirit and in truth, in John 4, 23 to 24.
He says, but the hour is coming and now is coming, the true worship was for worship the Father. For the Father is seeking such to worship in God is Spirit. Those who worship and must worship in Spirit and in truth. Going beyond just singing a song, going beyond coming to church just to get our, I don't know, goosebumps, our ears tickled like he wants us to learn and walk in this place of worshiping and by his Spirit and in truth.
We're just wrecks our lives here. I don't think that I've ever been wrecked by God. He wants to continue to fill you and wreck your life for anything less than his best. What is the essence of worship?
I wrote down here as an attitude of the heart that centers on God and is a response to the internal creator. It's an attitude of our heart. God, I don't know, I'm just going to share my experience of what worship is. God, nothing else matters.
I really believe that He is the beginning and end, that in Him all things are, all things came to be, all things are, all things will be. So if I'm looking for who I am and what I want in life, I believe it comes from Him. My worship is God, you are my everything. You're not just someone that blesses me or gives me things, either you're the King of kings and the Lord of Lords.
You breathe and everything came into existence. It's an attitude of the heart that centers on God. Your heart begins to realize that I pray that everyone leaves here today with an understanding of the heart of worship and that He's long. You give Him your longing.
Give Him what's in your heart for Him. And He will take that and I'm telling you, He will overwhelm you with who He is and who you are. True worship of God is just that. It's being willing to be unashamed.
It's being willing to love God in front of the world, you know. It doesn't matter what they think. I'm a very peculiar person. If you know me well enough.
You're a weird guy, Ace. You're a weird guy. That's me. I'm a peculiar person.
But it's being willing to love God unashamedly, being undone. Like those that came up with the ulcer doing worship. It doesn't matter what people think. It doesn't matter.
Even what's going on in my world, I need to run to my father. I need to be in his presence because in his presence is fullness of joy. And he does his work in his presence. I believe in right now he's doing his work.
In Deuteronomy 6, 4-5, it's this important worship. In that scripture it says hero Israel. But I'm going to, all the scriptures are for you guys right here today. You know, I mean, this was hundreds of years ago, thousands of years ago, some of these scriptures, you know.
But God is speaking to us today. We're His people. He's alive and well. So if you want to put in their hero city reach, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength. It's creation. It's us responding to our Creator. We're to love Him with all our heart, all of our soul, all of our strength.
And I'm telling you, you don't just wake up and have that kind of passion. But as you begin to just kind of let yourself go and run after Him, He creates the passion. Because you're like, God, you're amazing. God, you delivered me from this.
God, there's issues in my life. I never thought. I did. There was issues in my life.
I never thought. I would ever come or be disciplined enough to handle what's responsible. And I'm telling you, they're in the past now. And there's more coming, more responsibility, more challenges, more of life.
But God is showing me like, you know, it's in loving Him and running to Him. He creates this passion. He gives us this heart that longs for Him. The scripture says the Spirit and the bride long for Him.
Where's the bride? Ultimately, sometimes we're like, Lord, Jesus can't you just come back already? Because to be absent from the body and present with the Lord, you know, sometimes you don't need to call the crisis center. I'm not, you know, I'm not on the verge of anything.
But there's a longing in us. Like Jesus, I wish He would just, if you have a number, maybe call it. But there's a longing in us, right? Jesus, I just want, I just wish He returned sometimes, you know, because it's tough here.
There's a fight here. It's a battle, man. But I believe worship, giving Him our hearts with all our soul, with all our strength. That's how we sustain in the battle.
It's His presence. He fills us daily and regularly. I'll touch a little bit about the back of the beginning. There's so much here, man.
Ephesians talks about, we're going to get to the beginning. But the God, Paul is talking in Ephesians 1 that I pray that the Father may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the understanding. Your understanding will be enlightened. The spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of Him.
If you hang around me long enough, it's all about knowing God. Nothing else matters. He literally, Paul saying, I pray that you would receive this Spirit. I believe today there's going to be more time for ministry.
Maybe you've never received the Spirit of God. Maybe you're born again, baptized into salvation, but it's a fully received, like the overflowing, right? Like getting lost in the sauce. Well, the Spirit of God begins to overwhelm your life and you're like, man, I don't even know.
I don't even know what's going on here. But I know this is God and it's good. I really believe when we're in a move of God, He's working on our lives. You can't fully define it.
You just have to be like, this is God. You can put some scripture to it or whatever. But I do believe He wants to just overwhelm us and give us the Spirit of the wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. Not wisdom and revelation of your business plan, of your 401k.
Not that those things don't matter. But the knowledge of Him and who He is. I believe it's my purpose in life. It really is.
To be a prophetic voice. To let people know who God is. In his heart of hearts. That he's a God who loves, he's a God who's intimate and wants communion with us.
And in that you know who you are. Spirit of wisdom and revelation. The God of our Lord just Christ, the Father of the Lord, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. To know Him.
All right. We're going to go back to the, you guys with me? You guys are quiet in here. It's good stuff.
Back to the beginning. Genesis 1, 26, 27. Then God said, let us make man in our image according to our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the cattle, over all the earth, over every creeping thing that creeps on earth.
So God created man in his own image. In the image of God, He created him, mayo, and female. This is after He's created everything else, right? We, you are His prize, creme de la creme possession.
You are His everything. You're the apple of His eye. And He goes into Genesis 2 where He didn't just create us, breathe life into us. He put us in our garden.
It says, life in the garden. He formed man out of the dust. He breathed spiritual beings. I'm going to stay focused on the spirit.
We're spiritual beings. We were created to tap into the spiritual dynamics and the supernatural presence of God. He breathed life. And then the Lord planted a garden eastward and Eden.
This is Genesis 2, 8. And there He put the man who He had formed. And in that place, I believe God came regularly to meet with them, to commune with them, to talk, to show them their purpose. Hey, this is what I created you for.
To rule and reign over this, to have authority over this, to take dominion, to be fruitful and multiply. It was in that unbroken relationship. They knew their father was. They were naked and unashamed.
We all know what happens when sin came in, right? They cover themselves up ahead. I really believe it was the beginning of religion. They hide themselves.
They're making up excuses. They're now living by the understanding of something's wrong here. That understanding didn't exist. So they're in perfect communion.
They know their purpose. That's my point here. To know Him and to be in the communion is to know your purpose and to walk it out. We're stored image of God.
Here's my first point. When we center our hearts and lives and give them to God through Jesus, and we're saved, we're born again, right? We then made God our focus. When I got saved and I got born again, whether I wanted to realize it or not, he became my focus.
I tried to focus on other things. I tried to go my own direction multiple times. I tried to not put him as the center of my worship and put something else. A lot of it was drugs.
I believe we're created to worship. We fix ourselves on something, right? We fix our mind, our heart, our soul, our passion on something, and trust me, it'll happen, won't it? If you want something bad enough, it'll happen.
And when we become born again, we then made God our focus again. His original intent is in the garden. I'm walking you through this. He walked me through it.
When I was all coming together, I'm like, please let this be comprehensible. What I believe it is. He gets us back to that original intent as in the garden. Can be restored.
Give Him His place of worship. This is a challenge to you. Give Him His place. Then we can begin to walk with Him and see Him clearly.
It's not about being perfect. It's not about having it all figured out. Lord knows I don't. It's about giving God His rightful place and worshiping Him, center of your heart.
He'll bring you back to that place. He'll bring you back to that garden place of intimacy here and now. And it says in the end, it'll be like it was in the beginning. He's really taking us ultimately back to that place, which I believe is our purpose, to be with Him and worship Him.
We can do that here and now. Born again, come to the Father. See the Kingdom. How am I doing on time?
I ain't out of time. Get out of here. I'm glad I can talk straight. Don't make me come down there.
John 14, 6 to 7. This is the Father revealed. This is where we're storing the image of Him. John 14, 6 to 7.
Jesus said to Him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except for me. It's even titled in there. The Father revealed.
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. And from now on, you know Him and have seen Him. So when we center our hearts on worship on Him, on the Father, when we become born again, maybe there's someone in here today that's not born again. You know?
You need the Spirit of God to live in you. We're spiritual beings. The Scripture says also, we started this in the Spirit. Why would we be foolish enough to try to finish it in our own flesh?
I know I was there in my life. I'm trying to work out these spiritual things with my own reasoning, my own understanding, and it doesn't work. We have a Spirit living in us, right? When we center our hearts up in, we then begin to see and know who He truly is, led by the Spirit in Revelation.
Not information. True revelation that the Father, the God our Father, begins to give us through His Spirit. It talks further and 14 about the promise of the helper. We need help doing this.
Every day in my life I need to be filled again and again. Every day I need to, really I want to be overflowing. Every day I need help by the Spirit to walk us out. So when we accept Jesus when we become born again, we are introduced to the Father.
So you can't see the Father without being born again. John 3, 3 to 5, the new birth. Jesus answered and said to him, most surely I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. You have to be born again or you can't see any of it.
You will see something but it's not going to be the kingdom of God. It's not going to be the Father. So we must put ourselves in Jesus the way the truth and the life. Nicodemus said to him, how can a man be born again when he is old?
Can he enter a second time when he was born? No. Jesus answered, most assuredly I say to you, that would be disgusting and I don't know how that would work out. Jesus answered, most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is of the flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is of the Spirit. He goes into saying, don't marvel that I say this to you. This is reality.
Once again, what you started in the Spirit, you can't finish in the flesh. It's constantly living in worship and in his presence and being filled and moving in that and growing in our image of who he is. Now, once we are born again in water and in Spirit, we can see the kingdom. We can see the Father.
It's the beginning of all that being restored through its proper place. It unlocks knowing who we are. Are you guys seeing this? Trying to walk us down a little path here.
Now we can talk about, I'm good on time. Now we can talk about our stored view or image of me and you. Colossians 3, wonderful. It says, if then you will raise with Christ, this is born again in experience, this is after the fact you receive the Spirit.
I would go on to baptize us in his Spirit. I believe today when he comes back up and we go back into worship, I believe there are going to be people who can receive the Spirit of God today. You can receive a refreshing. Fill me up again, Lord.
Overflow in my life so that I can see you clearly and in that I'm getting into this. Your life depends on this. Not just so you have the rest of the day in that it's good. Not just so you can be blessed and something can be blessed.
Not even that you can be healed and delivered. All those things are part of the attributes of abiding in him, of living in his presence. But your life literally depends on this. Every aspect of who you are, depends on worshiping God, making him the center and restoring who he is in your life.
If then, this is Colossians 3, 1-4. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, right? How do we even know what's above? We've been born again, we can now see the kingdom.
Where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Fred talks about this all the time. Because he's sitting there. We are now sitting there.
Set your mind on things above. Not on the things of the earth. I believe God totally took our view of the world and the earth and just flipped it upside down and said, I'm going to give you a whole new view of what life is. Don't set our minds on things above.
Not on things that are for you died. We've been crucified with Christ. It's no longer. Your life is hidden, right?
I'm going into Galatians 2, 20. For we died and your life is hidden with Christ. Here's the key in the Colossians 3. You've died.
You've become born again into your spirit man. You can't do this in the flesh. For now, your life is hidden with Christ and God. When Christ who is our life appears, then also we will appear with him in glory.
Let's talk about when he returns. But your life has been hidden. I just want to focus on that for a minute. It's been hidden with Christ in God.
Your very existence. Everything you are. Everything you need. From A to Z.
From the moment you came out of your mother's womb until the day you take your last breath or Jesus returns, you're hidden in him. How much more should we worship him? And center our entire beings on him. I'm talking to become consumed with God.
I just love you man. It's not an obligation anymore. I don't have to do what I get to do it. Spend time with him.
I used to be an obligation for me. The Christian duties, you know? I gotta get out. I gotta make it look like I'm feeling good.
I feel like I'm a Christian, you know? I'm a Christian, you know? But no, it's just like no matter what I'm at. Stress, whatever.
Whatever the situation is I can go to my father. I have a new season coming up in my life and I have to ask the father, take my plans before him, you know? Acknowledge him in all my ways so you can order my steps. Our very life is hidden in him.
Your very existence. Whatever your next question is, your next plan. Take it to the Father because he's going to reveal to you whether he's in that or not, you know? Our life's purpose and view is no longer worldly but in Christ and clear with God now.
Who wants the truth about who they are? Who here today by the raise of hands wants the truth. Nobody wants to be lied to you, right? Who wants to know the truth about who you are?
Who am I God? What human beings don't ask that question? What? There's gotta be something more than this.
The 9 to 5 and the Toyo and this and that. Who am I? Why did you create me? And I believe it's simple.
It starts by worship again and becoming born again. Romans 1, 16 to 17. It says, for I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God of salvation for everyone who believes for the Jew first and also for the Greek. I don't know if there's any Jewish people in here that is for you too.
From the righteousness of God is revealed. For in it, to live by faith to be born again, the righteousness of God is revealed. The good things, the right standing, all the image of who you are. What does it look like God?
The same before you. What do I look like now in you? It's all revealed from faith to faith as it is written. They just, the just shall live by faith.
Now we live by faith. The good things of God have been revealed to us. We come here on Sundays for more to be revealed. When you go meet him in your bedroom or in the shower, wherever it is, he wants to reveal to you.
We don't come here today just to sing songs and be entertained. He wants to reveal something to you. The Holy Spirit always comes with gifts. Every time, telling you, every time the presence of God shows up, in my bedroom or whatever he has a gift for me.
Whether it be peace, whether it be encouragement, whether it be strength, whether it be, you know what God thought that was a good idea and he just confirmed that it was. You know what I mean? Whatever it is, God shows up and he wants to reveal good things to us. Now we live by faith and faith to faith day to day.
Glory to glory. This is an ongoing thing. There's stuff he wants to give you today. I'm telling you, when we go back into worship, like Krista was saying, like a funnel, right?
Someone gave that example one time. When we lift our hands up like this, what's it look like? Funnel. This is probably a prominent expression of worship.
Surrender and God, just funnel everything that you have down to me. We can live now by heaven's view of who we are and what our lives are to look like and unfold. To me, this is the greatest news you could ever get. If you came in there with any confusion, any doubt, questions, burdens, you go into his presence, you worship him, you abide in him, and I'm telling you, he begins to show you his view of who we are and what our lives are to look like and what is to unfold.
First Corinthians, are you guys still with me? Someone give me a hallelujah? Someone give me an amen. Yes.
First Corinthians 1, 18 to 20. This is still on the restored view of me and you. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, who are being born again, it is the very power of God. Those few that came up here this morning, they responded, they were overwhelmed.
I got to go up there man, because God's in this place. And there's no significance about coming to this front. I think there is a significance in stepping out and being unashamed, exercising that faith and saying, I don't care what people think. I need to touch from God today.
Like a woman with the issue of blood. I don't care what people think. I'm pressing through, pushing, knee in, gut checking and I just touch his garment. Because he shows up with gifts.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who don't believe, but to us it's the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. This is where God is disengaged, our worldview. Or if you like watching Fox or CNN.
I'm telling you that is not Heaven's view. If you're, I'm not saying, I don't want to get into that. That's a whole, that's a whole. I personally haven't watched the news and I don't even know how long.
Because listen, my focus is on the King of Kings. He established it all. There is no man that's going to rise up on this earth. He's already ascended from this earth.
He will descend and come from the clouds the same way he was taken up. So I'm not looking for Trump. You can backlash me, come at me. I'm not looking for an earthly man to be raised up to save this world.
It's not going to happen. So he's destroyed the wisdom of the wise. He's brought to nothing, the understanding of the prudent. He's brought it to nothing.
He's curbed-stomped. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the distributor of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world. So it's the understanding that God has disengaged our worldview and empowered and connected you now with his view, his wisdom, the very life of God. His word is life. Right?
That's like what I said. Where would we go, Jesus? There's nowhere else to go to receive the words of life. You are the very one that speaks life.
God has disengaged our worldview. He's connected us now with his view, a window to see into heaven. There's mentions, there's mentions in Scripture where Jesus would look into heaven. When Stephen was getting stoned to death, he saw into heaven.
I believe here and now when we understand worship and we center our hearts, we can see into heaven. Wow, we can see life and live it through. It's amazing, isn't it? Are you guys amazed by that?
Is anyone growing and understanding of what we have here? There's a friend of mine that said it's actually a shame as Christians. I lived most of my Christian life like this. It is a shame that we have access.
I'm putting it on me because I live a good bit of my Christian life, not accessing the Holy Spirit, not accessing the presence of God, not accessing the window in the view of heaven and seeing into it. It is a shame that us as believers, we don't access that. Not just when you got saved or when you have a bad moment, but every day of our lives, daily. I'm talking when you're driving in the van, when you're using the restroom, when you're at sheets.
It's become like this reality to me that it's all day every day. I can be in communion with my father. It's like being in the garden, you know. I'm actually, if you want to come up, I'm about to wrap up here.
I don't know what time you guys normally end, but I think it's about this time. So I'm a firm believer that God wants to do something right now. He wants to perform his word. Fred was talking about this this morning in the book of Acts.
I'm going to paraphrase it, but when the disciples reached out to heal, it was as if the hand of Jesus was reaching out through them. They can't heal people themselves. It had to be Jesus. It's over and over and over.
I have not, but what I have, I give to you today. And all these scriptures that were spoken back then are spoken now. It's the eternal word of God. So today, my challenge to you is if you want to give him your longing, you want to give him your worship.
You want to be reconnected to the one that formed you, the most intimate parts of who you are. I encourage you to get up even now to begin to worship you. We started out worship, let's finish in worship. I encourage you guys to get up.
We're going to go into another, we're going to end this on worship. I encourage you to lift your hands up to receive. I know who I am because I know I am. He wants you to know him.
I believe that's God's greatest desire. He's like David, Royce, Karen, Eric, Pickle. This is my greatest desire. I just want you to know.
Now how much I love you. Know the plans I have for you. Know your future. Know that I was there in your past.
Know that I can heal that abuse. I can mend that wound. I can restore the broken pieces of your heart. And by getting to know the Father, you begin to get put back together.
Peace by peace. Day by day by day. It's a continual process. And I believe there's going to be people today that can receive the Holy Spirit.
You don't even know what that is. I touched on what that is. You must be born again. If you're here today, where you're online and you've never made the choice to say Jesus, I need you.
Not all of it, but some of this made sense today. What this guy is speaking out of his mouth. Some of it made sense. Scripture says he's putting eternity in all of us.
All of creation announces and proclaims and declares that there is a God, one God, one Creator. He's putting eternity in us. There's a longing in you for more. And people search high and low.
And every situation, other religions, jobs, positions, to find that purpose. And it's only found through Jesus Christ. And worshiping in the same God, filming with this.
