Cycling Checks All the Boxes with Chris Johnston (TBD Racing)

My first interaction with Chris (TBD Racing) actually came through Jake. It was the summer of 2020 and Jake had just returned from almost two full weeks of riding bikes in Newport Beach. We had connected with some of the other members of Chris’s Newport based cycle team: TBD during LOTOJA in previous years. So, when all of the Utah based families migrate to Newport we seek out the Local Legends to take us on morning rides. Jake couldn’t hold back all the compliments about Chris and what a great cyclist and man he was. Chris is part of the TBD crew, that we love. We will chat for a bit about TBD with Chris today, but we are also planning on getting some of their other team leaders on in the future to share more of the nitty gritty… Chris is married and has two beautiful girls. Currently living in Costa Mesa, CA. Strava indicates that Chris will probably go over the 10,000 mile mark for 2022 with close to 350,000 vert. Multiple LOTOJA’s and podiums in his pocket. His life is filled with Sprinter Van adventures. A successful YouTube channel. Trips to his one great love multiple times a year: Yosemite. He is a skilled photographer and if you aren’t following the OutDoorbros IG account you are missing out. I believe there are two types of dudes in the world - BBQ guys and non-BBQ guys.
