Daddy Issues (The Blessed Family) : Antonio Sims (Central District Supervisor)

The family is important in demonstrating the Lord’s intent to use the family as a model of  His expression of love to the world.  The family is composed of people who have feelings  and emotions and because we have feelings and emotions, we can be hurt.  This hurt can  impact behavior and our beliefs about God, family, and real love.   Boys and girls learn their identity early and usually from their fathers. It is natural to seek  love and attention from our fathers.  When our natural fathers withhold their love from us  or mistreat us, deep wounds form that only the love of the Father can heal.  People who  suffer from this type of neglect can go through life jeopardizing their own emotional and  spiritual health and forming unhealthy bonds with others due to having “Daddy Issues”  beginning in early childhood.
