Secondo studi recenti, con la soluzione oftalmica dell’azienda la progressione miopica e l’allungamento assiale si riducono di oltre il 60%Sviluppata dal Centro Studi di Dai Optical a partire dal 2019, Myoga è una lente per il controllo del defocus periferico, con l’obiettivo di rallentare l’evoluzione della miopia e garantire comfort visivo. «Con oltre 80 mila soluzioni vendute a livello globale, risulta affidabile, versatile ed efficace su diverse prescrizioni e fasce d’età - si legge in un comunicato dell’azienda oftalmica - Gli studi scientifici pubblicati nel 2025 sul Turkish Journal of Ophthalmology hanno dimostrato come Myoga raggiunga una riduzione della progressione miopica (SER) del 63,5% in 12 mesi e una riduzione dell’allungamento assiale (AL) del 67,9% in 12 mesi (nella foto, l’immagine di campagna)».I risultati relativi alle riduzioni sono stati calcolati con riferimento al gruppo di controllo. «I dati riportati derivano dall’analisi combinata di due studi clinici retrospettivi condotti nell’agosto 2025, per un totale di 179 soggetti - precisa la nota - L’età media complessiva del campione è pari a 10,06 ± 1,23 anni, calcolata attraverso media e deviazione standard combinate dei due dataset. Questi risultati sono particolarmente rilevanti perché il controllo dell’allungamento assiale, e quindi della crescita del bulbo oculare, è riconosciuto dalla comunità scientifica come un fattore chiave per ridurre il rischio futuro di sviluppare patologie retiniche gravi».Gli esiti degli studi sulla tecnologia alla base di Myoga sono stati illustrati in occasione dell’evento interdisciplinare di Monopoli di inizio ottobre e saranno tra i temi del tour informativo rivolto alla classe medica che Dai Optical ha in programma per il 2026.A cura della redazione
