Daily Bible Reading Day 44 - Isaiah 56, 57, & 58

Today's daily bible reading comes from the book of Isaiah chapters 56, 57, and 58.  Here are some thoughts/takeaways.   Calling something holy, doesn’t make it holy. Aligning with God and HIS way will bring joy, peace, eternal rest, a relief or revival of the contrite heart, healing, restoration…  NOT aligning with God = No joy, no peace, no eternal rest, no relief, no healing, no restoration  Key verse: 58:6-8 Is not this the fast that I choose: to lose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?  Isa 58:7  Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?  Isa 58:8  Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.   This is at the very core of what Jesus taught us. A very real example of what it means to “love your neighbor”
