Daily Bible Reading Day 65 - Job 1 and 1st Corinthians 1

Today's daily bible reading comes from the book of Job chapter 1 and 1st Corinthians chapter 1.   The book of Job contains an insightful story about a man named Job who is a dedicated servant of God. There is a "behind-the-scenes" view of a conversation between Satan and God where God points out how faithful Job is. Satan accuses God of sheltering Job and THAT is why he is faithful. God allows Satan to test Job by causing him to experience great loss, pain, and suffering. The rest of the story follows...   The book or letter of 1st Corinthians is written by the Apostle Paul. The church in the city of Corinth was experiencing a lot of "growing pains" and needed to be instructed and encouraged in a lot of different areas.
