Dana Ernst and the Verde Valley Randonnee Bike Packing Adventure

I'm super Stoked to welcome Dana Ernst on the first-ever episode of the Podcast. Dana is a math professor at Northern Arizona University who has a passion for adventure. He is a father, husband, and community advocate. Dana recently completed the 250-mile loop around the Verde Valley in Northern Arizona called the Verde Valley Randonnee. This loop has over 22,000 feet of climbing and he did it in 23 hours and 18 minutes. We explore his motivations, struggles, and strategies for accomplishing this loop.
