Daniel: Determined to Obey God's Word

People discuss their current situation and claim they are “blessed by God.” When they do this, they usually refer to something going well in their life, career, spouse, kids, health, etc. We might not just hear others say it, we might do this ourselves. The question that this begs, “does that mean when things are hard, when situations in our life are not going as hoped for or planned, that ‘God is not blessing us?’” Furthermore, is this uncomfortable situation we face in our life caused by something we have done wrong, forcing God not to bless us? In Daniel’s life, we will learn that being blessed for our faithfulness does not come with physical prosperity & comfort, but rather it is used by God to demonstrate His glory to others and the hope and promise of eternal life.
