Following Jesus means recognizing that nothing we “have” truly belongs to us—it is all on loan!

Because Jesus came to serve, we don’t settle for sitting on the sidelines.

Como Jesús vino a servir, no nos conformamos con ser meros espectadores.

What should we do when times are hard and we seem to be at the bottom of a pit we cannot escape? In Psalm 40 David writes a beautiful song and prayer to God remembering the deliverance God has already worked in his life and trusting that God will deliver him again. Those of us who are in Christ also get to remember our deliverance from the eternal consequences of sin and shame! These stories of deliverance are meant to be shared for the building up of the body of Christ!

Gracias a la justicia y misericordia dee Dios, respondemos con fe y obediencia para que la próxima generación lo conozca a través de nuestro testimonio.

Because of God's justice and mercywe respond with faith and obedience so the next generation may know him through our testimony.

Our loyalty to God is on display when we hold his hand all the way home.

La forma en que te relacionas con la instrucción divina definirá tu presente y determinará tu futuro. Puedes perseguir lo que crees que te garantizará la felicidad. También puedes perseguir lo que parece hacer felices a los demás. Pero, al margen de las instrucciones de nuestro Creador, no sabemos cómo alcanzar la felicidad auténtica (ni cómo evitar la ruina).

The way you relate to God’s instruction will define your present and determine your future. You can pursue what you think will secure you happiness. You could pursue what seems to make other people happy. But apart from our Maker's instructions, we don’t know how to secure genuine happiness (or avoid ruin).

La destreza de David lo llevó a la corte del rey — pero no fue su talento lo que trajo alivio a Saúl. Fue la presencia de Dios que lo llenaba. David’s skill got him into the king’s court — but it wasn’t his talent that brought relief to Saul. It was the presence of God that filled him. When we are saturated with God’s presence, we become a blessing to the people around us — not because of what we can do, but because of who lives in us.

Even in uncertainty, we can trust our King. He has left us in good hands, He has empowered us with purpose, and He anchors us in hope.

Incluso en tiempos de incertidumbre, podemos confiar en nuestro Rey. Nos ha dejado en buenas manos, nos ha dado poder con un propósito y nos afirma en la esperanza.

The Good Shepherd doesn't give up on his sheep. He seeks out, restores, and deals with each one individually.

El Buen Pastor no abandona a sus ovejas. Las busca, las restaura y se preocupa por cada una de ellas individualmente.

The best way to deal with our doubts is to take them to Jesus. He strengthens and rewards faith.

La mejor manera de abordar nuestras dudas es llevarlas a Jesús. Él fortalece y premia la fe.

Jesus followed an unexpected but necessary path. His followers were haunted by doubt and confused by His suffering.

Jesús siguió un camino inesperado, pero necesario. Sus seguidores estaban llenos de dudas y desconcertados por su sufrimiento.

We are the Church! And we are at our best when we don’t fear the rapid and dramatic changes in the culture around us. Instead we allow the creativity of our Maker to flow through us to the lost and hurting, proclaiming to them the timeless truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are the Church! And we are at our best when we overflow with sacrificial generosity, always pressing outward toward the lost and hurting until Jesus returns to set all things right.

¡Nosotros somos la Iglesia! Y damos lo mejor de nosotros mismos cuando no tememos los cambios rápidos y drásticos de la cultura que nos rodea. En cambio, permitimos que la creatividad de nuestro Creador fluya a través de nosotros hacia los perdidos y los que sufren, proclamándoles la verdad eterna del evangelio de Jesucristo. ¡Somos la Iglesia! Y estamos en nuestro mejor momento cuando desbordamos generosidad sacrificial, siempre avanzando hacia los perdidos y los que sufren hasta que Jesús regrese para poner todas las cosas en orden.

Una adoración sincera y humilde es la respuesta adecuada al valor infinito de Jesús. ¡Él es digno!

Lavish, humble worship is the proper response to the infinite worth of Jesus. He is worthy!

Los tres seguidores de Jesús bajaron de la montaña con una mejor comprensión de Jesús y con una orden divina y clara de escucharle. Hoy en día, sus seguidores corren el riesgo de darlo por sentado e ignorar Su voz.

Jesus three followers came away from the mountain with a better understanding of Jesus and a clear, divine command to listen to Him. Today, His followers are in danger of taking Him for granted and ignoring His voice.

El Dios fiel que llamó a Jeremias es un Dios fiel. Es alguien que que tiene como objetivo ayudarnaos a crecer en medures con el proposito de mantenernos firmes en los dias malos.

When we serve with hospitality and send with generosity, we become fellow workers for the truth for the sake of Jesus’ name.

Today, we’re studying Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus, in which He describes the effects of being spiritually reborn.

Hoy estudiamos la conversación de Jesús con Nicodemo, en la que describe los efectos de renacer espiritualmente.

Don’t settle for what doesn’t ultimately satisfy. Only living water can satisfy the thirst of those providentially placed in our path.

No te conformes con lo que al final no satisface. Solo el agua viva puede saciar la sed de aquellos que Dios pone en nuestro camino.

No te conformes con lo que puedes ganar. Para entrar en el reino de Dios, debemos recibirlo como un niño confiado.

Don't settle for what you can earn. To enter God’s kingdom, we must receive it like a trusting child.

When facing misfortune, don’t fixate on the “why” or the “how”—determine “who” you will trust.
