Summary

I first heard of the Bay Area Thrash band "Heathen" from the "Hard N' Heavy Thrash & Speed Metal Special" VHS tape in 1989. I'm grateful to have had members of a bunch of the thrash bands from the Bay Area on the podcast simply due to that tape. Their debut record "Breaking the Silence" is an absolute classic thrash album. So I reached out to my guest on Episode 205 and he couldn't have been nicer. David White... singer for "Heathen" and early member of "Blind Illusion", Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde's old band. We go way back to high school and the metal scene in San Francisco, into "Blind Illusion" and eventually into him joining "Heathen". Dave is also a teacher and a swim coach. We probably could've gone another hour. Their new record, "Empire Of The Blind" produced by Zeuss is incredible. I hope you enjoy. Respect.
