In this series, we are following the biography of David, Israel’s greatest king. A king who began his life as an obscure shepherd boy but became a warrior who brought rival nations to their knees. A king described as “a man after God’s own heart.”, wrote worship songs that have been sung throughout the centuries. A king whose personal sins devastated not only his own family but God's chosen nation. In triumph and in tragedy, this earthly king points forward to a greater king to come. As we read of the courageous victories of King David, I pray that we will be filled with hope and faith in the victory King Jesus has won for us.
