David Briggs: "I Promised Kerry I Would Get Fit And Healthy For My Kids"

David Briggs joins Jodie & Soda after the passing of his wife Kerry who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last year. The father of two tells the Mix1023 breakfast team his wife's final wish was for him to get fit & healthy and this why he's decided to compete in a half -marathon Sunday May 28. "I promised Kerry I would get fit and healthy for my kids... yeah now I'm training for a half marathon this Sunday" David explained it's been a hard 6 months for him and the kids but has been made easier by a huge support network helping the family. "You just put one foot in front of the other and it just drives you...the kids are pretty amazing there so much more resilient than adults" "The people that have rallied behind me, just pop in for a cup of tea when there in the area I've got some pretty good friends and parents I'm very lucky"
