David Corduff shared his story of a lad who came across to Australia from Ireland in the 1950's in pursuit of adventure. After a period of immersing himself in the depths of the hardy Australian culture of enduring many a night with the lads, he was lucky enough to find the love of his life. When tragedy struck his family back in Ireland, he was torn between the two countries however decided to follow his heart and made Australia home. He then went on to pursue a successful career in the Packaging Industry however after a shock redundancy he experienced the crippling effects of depression. With a family to provide for and no support, David realised he had to start fighting for his life. And he did just that, and went on to continue his successful career. He was able to provide for his three children who have now expanded to give him six grandchildren. David is a tenacious man who overcame huge adversity and is now allowing his vulnerability to educate and help so many others. David is working tirelessly with Beyond-blue and The Peninsular Voice to provide forums for people to connect, share and get help. A truly lovely soul with a heart of gold. xx
