    Arjun David

Arjun David has ONWARD in his genes. His family escaped a difficult political situation in Sri Lanka and found himself in Australia in 1984. He grew to love Australia however although he had loads of ideas and a huge amount of drive to push himself to his limits, Uni was not for him. It wasn't long before the structured thinking of his Dad and the creative thinking of his Mum gave him the skills to launch STING. STING is an international brand for Boxing apparel and equipment. He grew this to its pinnacle when it was used for the Olympics and all the elite athletes within it. Arjun is now the co-founded (with D.J. Walton) of the new brand ONWARD. This brand is being launched with a big heart and a big intention. The energy behind the apparel and boxing equipment is for the everyday person to use it in order to move forward with perseverance and determination. This international brand and its vibrant high class boxing gear will be something we will all be hearing about and needing in our gym cupboard. Our schools, clubs and homes will be connecting with the importance of releasing our stress through boxing for a clearer mind, a strong sense of confidence and a deeper level of determination. David Corduff

David Corduff shared his story of a lad who came across to Australia from Ireland in the 1950's in pursuit of adventure. After a period of immersing himself in the depths of the hardy Australian culture of enduring many a night with the lads, he was lucky enough to find the love of his life. When tragedy struck his family back in Ireland, he was torn between the two countries however decided to follow his heart and made Australia home. He then went on to pursue a successful career in the Packaging Industry however after a shock redundancy he experienced the crippling effects of depression. With a family to provide for and no support, David realised he had to start fighting for his life. And he did just that, and went on to continue his successful career. He was able to provide for his three children who have now expanded to give him six grandchildren. David is a tenacious man who overcame huge adversity and is now allowing his vulnerability to educate and help so many others. David is working tirelessly with Beyond-blue and The Peninsular Voice to provide forums for people to connect, share and get help. A truly lovely soul with a heart of gold. xx

    Eryka Rhodes

With over 15 years working in the counselling field, and since her first child in 2006, Eryka's interest and curiosity of mindfulness evolved. Through personal practice and discipline, the benefits of mindfulness became apparent by being calmer in her every day. Recognition of any emotion and thought whether negative or positive, proved to be a way of moving through challenges, with less judgment and greater self-awareness. With this experience, Eryka began to integrate mindfulness and its techniques into her workplace with clients. Her counselling practice grew from working with anybody, to becoming more specialised in the area of relationships, due to her involvement and advocacy with PANDA. Being a mother herself, she was fully aware of the vulnerabilities and coping or non coping that mothers face along with mental health.

    Andrew Jobling

Andrew Jobling began his life as a bayside boy who had a drive to be an AFL footy player, and back in the 80s that is exactly what he did. He then transformed his understanding of health and balance into a best seller.. "The moral to my story is that there really are no accidents in life! We create our destiny by dreaming bigger than most people would think reasonable, by believing in ourselves more than most people would think sensible, by making decisions that most people would think illogical and continuing to act way beyond the point that most people would have given up.” Andrew Jobling We had a ball and were inspired to follow his formula to get the budding writer in us all to get that book out there. www.andrewjobling.com.au .. author, presenter, motivational speaker.. xx

    Richard Payne

Richard arrived into the world with some serious physical struggles. However being deaf didn't interfere with his love for his family. Born into a family of 8 kids and some character filled animals, Richard never fell short of something to do. However, school was not so easy..his difficulties in hearing and learning were far from catered for, totally misinterpreted, and he was branded a delinquent. After Year Eight, Richard was out in the workforce gaining a first hand understanding of how the world really operates and some of the shady characters that went with it. The extraordinary thing about Richard is that his inability to hear allowed him to harness his observation skills of people. He went on to use these skill to create an incredibly successful business life. If all that wasn't enough of a physical challenge he then decided to swim the English Channel and managed to complete it in just under 23 hours. Who does that?!? Amazing .. Richard is the founder of "Knightowl". Very pointed and effective coaching sessions and motivational presentations can be arranged through www.knightowl.com.au.
