Day 221 — “God Goes with His People”

from Restoration: Where New Life Begins · host Mixcast4

Day 221 — “God Goes with His People”Ezekiel 11The Jewish exiles were far from Jerusalem, separated from the temple, and living in a land they never wanted to call home. Those remaining in Jerusalem assumed the exiles were far from God—but God gave them an incredible promise:“Yet I have been a sanctuary to them…in the countries where they have gone.” — Ezekiel 11:16The Hebrew phrase miqdash me’at means “a sanctuary for a little while” or “a sanctuary in small measure.” God was showing His people that His presence was not confined to a temple, city, or familiar place. Babylon could take them away from Jerusalem, but it could never take them away from God.The Lord also promised to give them lev echad—“one heart”—and a ruach chadashah—“a new spirit.” God was not merely preparing to change their location; He was preparing to transform their hearts. You may be walking through an unfamiliar season today. You may feel displaced, forgotten, or far from home. But if you belong to Christ, you are never beyond the reach of God’s covenant love.He is with you in the waiting. He is with you in the loss.He is with you in the unfamiliar place. He is with you in the exile.Separation may change your circumstances, but it cannot break God’s covenant love. Wherever God’s people go, their faithful God goes with them.🎧 Listen to Day 221 of The Story of Scripture with Pastor John.Support the show
