Day 231: 2 Kings 24 and 25, 2 Chronicles 36

Welcome back to the podcast. Today is Day 231, and for the next couple of days we're going to step away from the book of Jeremiah and return to the historical narrative. Our reading takes us through 2 Kings 24 and 25 and concludes with 2 Chronicles 36. Today we witness the final days of the kingdom of Judah. The warnings God had given through His prophets are fulfilled as Jerusalem falls to Babylon, the temple is destroyed, and the people are carried into exile. These are some of the most heartbreaking chapters in Israel's history, yet even amid judgment, we catch glimpses of God's faithfulness and the hope that His story with His people is not over.
