    Day 133: 2 Samuel 11-12 and 1 Chronicles 20

Today, we’re diving into one of the most well-known and sobering stories in Scripture—David’s sin with Bathsheba. At a time when kings were meant to be out leading their armies into battle, David chose to remain in Jerusalem. One evening, from the rooftop of his palace, he saw Bathsheba bathing—a moment that would set off a chain of choices driven by temptation and desire. David had several opportunities to turn back, to course correct, and to do what was right. Yet he continued down a path that led to deep consequences. And still, despite his failures, we see something remarkable: God’s grace. David repents, and God forgives him. Out of that broken situation, Solomon is eventually born—a reminder that God can bring redemption even out of our worst mistakes.

    Day 132: Psalms 65 through 67, and 69 through 70

Welcome back to Day 132. Today, we’re stepping into a collection of Psalms that carry both beauty and raw honesty—Psalms 65 through 67, and 69 through 70. In these chapters, we move from praise and gratitude to deep cries for help, and then back again to confident trust in God. You’ll hear the full range of human emotion—joy for God’s provision, awe at His power, and the vulnerability of calling out to Him in times of distress. It’s a powerful reminder that no matter where we are—celebrating or struggling—we’re invited to bring it all before Him. So take a deep breath, settle in, and let these words guide you through praise, need, and unwavering hope… right here on Day 132.

    Day 131: 2 Samuel, 1 Chronicles 19 and Psalm 20

Welcome back to Day 131. Have you ever had that moment where you’re reading along and suddenly think… wait, I’ve heard this before? Well, today is the day you realize—you actually have. 😄 One of the beautiful things about reading the Bible in historical order is how it brings everything together. Stories, songs, and events start to overlap and connect in ways you may have never noticed before. Today we’re stepping into 2 Samuel 10, alongside 1 Chronicles 19, and weaving in Psalm 20—three passages that echo the same moment in history from different perspectives. You’ll see how narrative, reflection, and worship all point to the same truth, just through different lenses. So lean in, listen closely, and let’s discover how these pieces fit together in a way that makes the story come alive like never before.

    Day 129: 2 Samuel 8-9 and 1 Chronicles 18

Welcome back to Day 129 of our Bible journey! Today we’re reading 2 Samuel chapters 8 and 9, along with 1 Chronicles 18. In these passages, we see God establishing David’s kingdom as he experiences victory after victory—clear reminders that it’s the Lord who gives success and secures His promises. But right in the middle of all that strength and power, we also see something deeply personal. In 2 Samuel 9, David shows unexpected kindness to Mephibosheth, a member of Saul’s family. It’s a powerful picture of grace—of honoring a promise and extending mercy when it’s least expected. And in 1 Chronicles 18, we get another perspective on David’s victories, reinforcing how God was with him in every battle. Today is all about God’s faithfulness in victory and His heart revealed through kindness. So let’s dive in. .

Welcome to Day 124 of our journey through Scripture. Today, we’re in 1 Chronicles chapters 13 through 16, where the spotlight turns to the presence of God among His people. These chapters walk us through David’s desire to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem—moving from good intentions and tragic missteps to reverent obedience, heartfelt worship, and joyful celebration. We see what happens when God’s holiness is misunderstood, and how blessing follows when He is honored according to His ways. As songs of praise rise, battles are won, and worship is restored to the center of Israel’s life, we’re reminded that God desires both our enthusiasm and our obedience. Let’s dive into today’s reading and discover what it means to carry God’s presence with reverence, joy, and faith.

    Day 123: Psalms 106-107

Welcome to Day 123. Today we’re back in the book of Psalms, reading Psalms 106 and 107. In Psalm 106, we’re reminded of Israel’s repeated failures and God’s unwavering mercy—a powerful reflection on confession, repentance, and the grace of a faithful God. Psalm 107 then shifts our focus to thanksgiving, celebrating how the Lord redeems, rescues, and restores those who cry out to Him in every circumstance. Day 121: 2 Samuel 5 and 1 Chronicles 11 and 12

Welcome back to Day 121 of our journey through Scripture. Today we’re continuing in the life of David as we read 2 Samuel chapter 5 and 1 Chronicles chapters 11 and 12. These passages bring us to a powerful turning point—David is established as king over all Israel, Jerusalem becomes the city of David, and we see the mighty men and faithful warriors God used to strengthen his kingdom. As we read today, let’s pay attention to how God fulfills His promises, unites His people, and builds leadership through faithfulness and obedience. Let’s dive in.

  15. 125

    Day 120: Psalms 102-104

Welcome to Day 120 of our journey through Scripture. Today we’re reading Psalms 102 through 104, a powerful movement from personal lament to expansive praise. Psalm 102 meets us in a place of weariness—an honest cry from someone who feels overwhelmed, forgotten, and worn down by life. It reminds us that God is not distant from our pain, but attentive to every sigh and prayer whispered in weakness. As we turn to Psalms 103 and 104, the tone lifts. We’re invited to remember who God is: compassionate, forgiving, slow to anger, and rich in love. These psalms call us to lift our eyes—to see God’s mercy in our own lives, and His majesty displayed throughout all creation. Today’s reading encourages us to bring our burdens honestly before the Lord, then rest in the truth that the same God who hears our cries also sustains the world with wisdom, mercy, and power. Let’s begin Day 120, Psalms 102 through 104.

  19. 121

    Day 116: Psalms 73, 77-78

Welcome to Day 116. Today, we’re reading Psalms 73, 77, and 78—a collection of psalms that speak honestly about doubt, memory, and faith passed from one generation to the next. These chapters remind us that faith isn’t the absence of questions. Psalm 73 wrestles with envy and confusion when life feels unfair. Psalm 77 gives voice to a heart crying out in the night, searching for God when answers seem far away. And Psalm 78 calls us to remember—remember what God has done, and to tell those stories faithfully, so hope is not lost. As you listen today, notice how reflection and remembrance reshape discouragement into trust. Let these psalms invite you to bring your doubts honestly before God, to recall His faithfulness, and to rest in the truth that His works are worth remembering—and repeating. Let’s begin Day 116

  20. 120

    Day 115 Chronicles 3-5

Today is Day 115. What do you do when life is just life? When you don’t feel like doing your Bible study… when going to church feels heavy… when praying seems like more work than you have energy for? I want to be honest—that happens. One of the reasons I love listening to the Bible every day is because it’s low‑energy faithfulness. Some days I’m reading along, fully engaged in the Word of God. And some days, I’m just listening—letting the Word wash over me, letting it do the work. And that’s okay. It’s a beautiful way to push through those seasons when your want‑to is running low. All you have to do is press a button. So as you hit play today, remember this: You can push through the hard times. You can stay connected, even on low energy days. Today we’re reading 1 Chronicles chapters 3 through 5. Let’s begin Day 115.

  21. 119

    Day 114: Psalms 43-45, 49, 84-84, 87

Today is Day 114 of our journey through the Psalms. We’re continuing to read through many psalms that walk us through the full landscape of faith—from struggle and lament to hope, joy, and trust. Today’s readings include Psalms 35–43, along with Psalm 49, Psalms 84 and 85, and Psalm 87. In these psalms, we hear honest cries for justice, reminders that human wealth is temporary, and beautiful declarations of God’s presence and restoration. We’re invited to place our hope not in what fades, but in the Lord who saves, renews, and dwells with His people. As you listen today, pay attention to how often the psalmists speak to their own souls—choosing trust even when circumstances haven’t changed yet. Let’s begin Day 114 in the Psalms.

  22. 118

    Day 113: 1 Chronicles 1 and 2

    1 Chronicles 1 and 2

  23. 117

  24. 116

    Day 111: 2 Samuel 1-4

Welcome back to Day 111 of our journey through Scripture. Today we step into 2 Samuel chapters 1 through 4, where a season closes and a new one begins. Saul is gone. The throne of Israel stands empty. And yet, instead of rushing to power, David pauses to grieve. He laments for Saul and Jonathan, honoring even those who once stood against him. What follows is not a smooth transition but a messy, tense unfolding—marked by divided kingdoms, broken loyalties, and human ambition. In these chapters, we see that God’s promises don’t always arrive quickly or cleanly. David has been anointed king, but the path forward is slow, painful, and filled with moral testing. Leadership is forged here—not through force, but through patience, integrity, and trust in God’s timing. As we read today, listen for this question: What does faithfulness look like when the promise is sure, but the fulfillment is delayed? Let’s dive into 2 Samuel 1–4.

  25. 115

    Day 110: Psalm 121-123, 125 and 128-130

Today is Day 110, and if you’re enjoying the Walk Through History, welcome back. Today we venture into the Songs of Ascents, found in Psalms 121–123, with special focus on Psalm 125 and Psalms 128 through 130. These psalms were sung by travelers making their way up to Jerusalem—songs of trust, dependence, repentance, and hope. As we walk these scriptures, we’ll hear reminders that our help comes from the Lord, that those who trust in Him are secure, and that even from the depths, God hears the cry of His people. These are songs for the journey—whether the road is steep with hardship or filled with gratitude and praise. So take a deep breath, lift your eyes, and let’s continue our walk through history as we climb together through these powerful psalms of ascent.

  26. 114

    Day 110: 1 Samuel 28-31 and Psalms 18

Welcome to Episode 109. Today, we come to the closing chapters of 1 Samuel, covering chapters 28 through 31, and we’ll also spend time in Psalm 18. This is a turning point in Israel’s story—and in David’s life—marked by silence, fear, faith, loss, and ultimately, hope. We’ll witness the tragic end of Saul’s reign, the consequences of choices made apart from God, and the sobering cost of disobedience. At the same time, Psalm 18 lifts our eyes to the faithfulness of the Lord—the God who delivers, who strengthens, and who remains steadfast even when everything else falls apart. These chapters remind us that endings are often messy, painful, and unresolved—but God’s purposes are never finished. As one era closes, another is quietly being prepared. So let’s settle in as we walk through the final moments of 1 Samuel and listen to David’s song of deliverance in Psalm 18—reflecting on what it means to trust God in the darkest valleys and to praise Him for the victories He alone brings.

Today we’ll be reading Psalms 7, 27, 31, 34, and 52. These psalms take us through a wide range of emotions and experiences: cries for justice, bold declarations of trust, prayers for deliverance, and songs of gratitude. Together, they remind us that we can bring every fear, every hope, and every moment of praise honestly before the Lord. As we read today, listen for the consistent theme of God as our refuge, our defender, and our source of joy—even in difficult seasons. Let’s take a deep breath, quiet our hearts, and dive into today’s psalms together.

Today’s readings take us through 1 Samuel chapters 18 through 20, where we see the growing tension between Saul and David and the powerful friendship between David and Jonathan. Day 101: I Samuel 13-14

Welcome to Day 101 of our journey through the history of the Bible. Day after day, we continue to walk through God’s story—listening, learning, and growing together. Today’s reading brings us to 1 Samuel chapters 13 and 14, where faith is tested, leadership is challenged, and we see the powerful contrast between trust in God and reliance on our own strength. As we listen, let these chapters remind us that obedience and faith matter—especially when the path forward feels uncertain. Let’s continue our journey into God’s Word together.

  35. 105

    Day 100: 1 Samuel 9-12

oday is a special milestone. We’ve reached Day 100 of this journey—one hundred days of faithfully walking through the history of the Bible together. What an achievement! As we continue, today’s reading takes us into 1 Samuel chapters 9 through 12, where we witness a turning point for Israel: the rise of Saul, Israel’s first king, and Samuel’s faithful leadership guiding God’s people through change. Let’s listen closely, reflect deeply, and continue this journey together as God’s story unfolds.

  36. 104

    Day 99: I Samuel 4-8

Welcome to Day 99 of our journey through Scripture. Today we’re stepping into 1 Samuel chapters 4 through 8, a powerful and sobering stretch of Israel’s history. These chapters ask some hard questions: What happens when God’s people treat Him like a good-luck charm instead of a holy King? What do we do when spiritual leadership fails? And why does God allow us to ask for things that are not ultimately His best for us? As we listen today, we’ll see the glory of God depart, the faithfulness of God endure, and the hearts of the people shift from dependence on the Lord to dependence on human kings. Let’s lean in and see what God wants to show us.

  37. 103

    Day 98: I Samuel 1-3

Welcome back to our journey through Scripture. Today is Day 98, and we’re stepping into 1 Samuel chapters 1 through 3—a powerful passage that introduces us to Hannah’s prayer, Samuel’s calling, and a turning point in the history of Israel. Let’s listen closely for what God is revealing as His voice begins to speak again

  38. 102

    Day 97: Ruth

Welcome back to the podcast. Today is Day 97 of our reading journey, and we are diving into the book of Ruth, one of my absolute favorite books in the Bible. Ruth’s story is simple, yet powerful—filled with loyalty, courage, and unwavering faith. I’m especially drawn to Ruth’s faithfulness: her commitment to Naomi, her trust in God even when the future was uncertain, and her quiet obedience that led to a beautiful redemption story. Today, let’s take a moment to reflect on what Ruth’s faithfulness teaches us about walking faithfully with God in our own lives.

  39. 101
  40. 100

    Day 95: Judges 16-18

Welcome to Day 95 of our journey through Scripture. Today we’re reading Judges chapters 16 through 18. These chapters take us through the final chapter of Samson’s life and then shift our focus to a sobering picture of spiritual confusion in Israel. We’ll see strength lost and restored, vows broken, and a people doing what seems right in their own eyes—reminding us why God’s guidance matters so deeply. So take a moment, open your Bible, and let’s walk through Judges 16 through 18 together.

  41. 99

    Day 94: Judges 13-15

Welcome to Day 94 of our journey through Scripture. Today we continue in the book of Judges, chapters 13 through 15. In these chapters, we’re introduced to the story of Samson—a life marked by divine calling, supernatural strength, and deep personal struggle. As God begins His work of deliverance, we’ll see how purpose and weakness can exist side by side, and how God remains faithful even when His people are complicated. So get comfortable, open your Bible, and let’s step into Judges 13 through 15 together.

  42. 98

    Day 93: Judges 10-12

Welcome back to Day 93 of our Bible journey. Today we’re continuing in the book of Judges, chapters 10 through 12. These chapters walk us deeper into Israel’s ongoing cycle—turning away, crying out, and being met with God’s mercy once again. We’ll encounter lesser-known judges, rising conflict among the tribes, and a powerful reminder of what happens when leadership, pride, and obedience collide. So settle in, open your Bible, and let’s dive into Judges 10 through 12 together.

  43. 97

    Day 92: Judges 8 and 9

Welcome to Day 92 of our Walk Through History. Today finds us once again in the book of Judges, as we turn our attention to chapters 8 and 9—a sobering continuation of Gideon’s story and a cautionary look at leadership without God. What happens after the victory? Judges 8 shows us Gideon stepping away from faith‑filled dependence and into compromise, while Judges 9 introduces Abimelech—a ruler driven by ambition, power, and violence rather than calling. These chapters remind us that spiritual success doesn’t guarantee spiritual faithfulness, and that the consequences of our choices can echo far beyond a single generation. As we walk through Judges 8 and 9 today, we’ll wrestle with themes of pride, misplaced worship, and the difference between being chosen by God and seizing authority for ourselves. So, let’s continue the journey—Day 92—learning from a history that still speaks clearly into our lives today

  44. 96

    Day 91: Judges 6 and 7

Welcome back to Walk Through History, where we trace God’s story through real people, real struggles, and real faith. Today, our walk brings us to Judges chapters 6 and 7—a turning point in Israel’s story and a powerful reminder of how God works through unlikely people in unexpected ways. Israel is once again overwhelmed, oppressed, and crying out for deliverance. Enter Gideon—not a warrior, not a leader by reputation, but someone hiding in fear and questioning God’s presence. And yet, this is the person God calls a “mighty warrior.” As we journey through these chapters, we’ll see God patiently meet Gideon in his doubts, strip away human strength, and demonstrate that victory doesn’t come by numbers or power—but by trust and obedience. From the threshing floor to the flickering torches of a 300‑man army, this is a story about faith growing in the face of fear. So grab your walking shoes and step with us into Judges 6 and 7—where history reminds us that when God leads, less can truly become more.

  45. 95

    Day 90: Judges 3-5

It is Day 90—what an incredible achievement. For ninety days, you have faithfully walked through the history of the Word of God, pressing forward, listening, and growing. Today, we continue that journey in the book of Judges, reading chapters 3 through 5. In these chapters, we begin to see the cycle that defines this era: turning away, crying out, and God raising up deliverers. From unexpected leaders to breathtaking moments of courage and worship, these stories remind us that God remains faithful—even when His people struggle to be. As we dive into Judges 3–5, may we reflect on where we place our trust and how God still moves through willing hearts today.   If you’re enjoying this daily Bible reading, there are three ways you can support us—through PayPal and Venmo. Day 89: Judges 1 and 2

Welcome to Day 89 of our journey through Scripture. Today, we dive into the book of Judges, stepping into a new season in Israel’s history. We’ll be reading Judges chapters 1 and 2, where we see the transition after Joshua’s leadership, the struggle to remain faithful, and the beginning of a recurring cycle of obedience and rebellion. These opening chapters set the stage for a powerful—and sobering—story about what happens when God’s people forget His works and compromise their calling. As we begin Judges together, let’s listen closely to what these ancient stories reveal about faith, leadership, and the importance of remembering who God is.

  47. 93

    Day 88: Joshua 22-24

Welcome back to Day 88 of our journey. Today, we continue our walk through history in the book of Joshua, exploring chapters 22 through 24. These final chapters bring us to a powerful moment of reflection, renewal, and legacy—where God’s faithfulness is remembered, covenant is reaffirmed, and a challenge is set before the people: Who will you serve? As Joshua gathers the tribes and looks back on all God has done, we’re invited to examine our own walk—our obedience, our choices, and our commitment to follow the Lord wholeheartedly. Let’s step into this closing chapter of Joshua together and discover what it means to stand firm in faith for generations to come.

    Day 86: Joshua 16-18

Welcome back. Today we’re stepping into Joshua chapters 16 through 18, a section of Scripture that slows down the action—but deepens the meaning. The battles are largely over. The land has been promised, claimed, and now it’s being divided. We read about the inheritance of Ephraim and Manasseh, and then something unexpected happens: progress stalls. Even with victory behind them, seven tribes still haven’t taken possession of what God has already given. So Joshua challenges the people—How long will you wait to take hold of the inheritance the Lord has set before you? These chapters may seem like lists of boundaries and names, but underneath them is a powerful tension between promise and obedience, between potential and action. Joshua 16–18 asks us an honest question: What has God already placed within reach that we’re hesitating to step into? As we walk through these chapters today, we’ll explore themes of obedience, responsibility, unity, and the danger of spiritual complacency—discovering how ancient tribal allotments still speak directly into our faith today. Let’s dive in.

    Day 85: Joshua 12-15

Welcome back to the podcast. Today is Day 85 of our journey through Scripture, and we’re diving into Joshua chapters 12 through 15. In these chapters, we pause to remember the victories the Lord has already given—kings defeated, promises kept—and we begin to see the land divided among the tribes of Israel. It’s a powerful reminder that God is faithful not only in the battles, but also in the details of inheritance, boundaries, and legacy. As we read today, let’s reflect on what it means to trust God with both the fight and the future He’s preparing for us. Let’s begin.
