Day 239: Ezekiel 1-4
from Walk Through History: Bible Edition · host allthings2allmen
Welcome back to Day 239 of our Walk Through History: Bible Edition. Today we begin the book of Ezekiel and read chapters 1 through 4. If you are joining us this morning, afternoon, or evening, thank you for making time to spend with God. He is not concerned with the hour on the clock. He is concerned with a heart that seeks Him. Today's reading introduces us to one of the most dramatic and awe-inspiring visions in all of Scripture. Ezekiel is given a glimpse of God's glory unlike anything he has ever seen. In a time when God's people were living in exile and feeling abandoned, God reveals that His presence is not limited to a city, a temple, or a nation. He is still sovereign, still holy, and still in control. As we read, we will see Ezekiel's calling as a prophet and the difficult mission God gives him. We will also witness symbolic actions that illustrate God's warnings to His people. These chapters remind us that God speaks clearly, calls His servants faithfully, and desires His people to listen and obey. As you listen today, consider how God's glory, holiness, and sovereignty are displayed in these passages. Even when circumstances seem uncertain, God's authority remains unchanged. Let's open our hearts, quiet our minds, and begin our reading of Ezekiel chapters 1 through 4. May God speak to you through His Word today.
