Day 247: Ezekiel 25-27

Welcome back to Day 247 of our Walk Through History: Bible Edition. If you have been feeling the weight and seriousness of Ezekiel, hold strong. We are nearing the end of this remarkable book, with only seven days left in our journey through Ezekiel. Though these prophecies can be challenging, they reveal important truths about God's justice, sovereignty, and faithfulness. Today we are reading Ezekiel chapters 25 through 27. After many chapters focused on God's judgment against Jerusalem, Ezekiel now turns his attention to the surrounding nations. In these chapters, we see that God is not only the Lord of Israel, but the ruler over all nations. Ammon, Moab, Edom, Philistia, and the powerful city of Tyre are all called to account for their pride, violence, and rejoicing over the downfall of God's people. As you listen, notice how God responds to arrogance and self-sufficiency. The nations believed their strength, wealth, and position made them secure, but Ezekiel reminds us that no kingdom, city, or individual stands above the authority of God. Human power is temporary, but God's reign is eternal. Today's reading challenges us to place our trust not in worldly success, possessions, or status, but in the Lord alone. It also reminds us that God sees every nation and every heart, and His justice is always perfect. Let's begin Day 247 as we read Ezekiel 25 through 27.
