Day 91 - What If You Cannot See It Yet?

from 365 Miracles of Change — Daily Listening Practice · host Farheen Husain

A difficult state can quietly become an identity.“I feel weak” becomes:“I am weak.”“I feel overwhelmed” becomes:“I cannot cope.”Lesson 91 asks whether that identity is now deciding what we are able to see.“Miracles are seen in light.”The body and its limitations deserve care. They simply do not have to become the whole definition of who we are.Perhaps we do not need to see the whole way through today.Perhaps we only need to become willing that there may be something fear cannot currently see.Practice for TodayWhen weakness, exhaustion, or fear begins becoming your whole identity, repeat:“Miracles are seen in light.”Then ask:“But I am not only a body. What am I?”Or:“I am not only weak.I am not only afraid.I am not only what this moment makes me feel.”Then pause.Do not force yourself to find a solution.Simply become willing for there to be something you cannot yet see.
