Day 92 - Fear Does Not See the Whole Person

Fear can make someone’s difficulty become the whole way we see them.They are struggling, and soon we see only helplessness.We worry.Take over.Imagine the worst.Lesson 92 asks whether strength might allow a fuller perception.The difficulty remains real.But so does the person within it.Their dignity.Their agency.Their capacity.Perhaps clear seeing is not looking away from what is difficult.Perhaps it is learning to see what fear left out.Practice for TodayWhen fear for yourself or someone else begins narrowing perception, repeat:“Miracles are seen in light, and light and strength are one.”Then remind yourself:“I am more than this frightened reaction.There is strength available here that fear cannot show me.”Ask one question:“What might I be unable to see because I am afraid?”Do not use the question to deny what is happening.Use it to make room for what fear may have screened out.
