DBR Bites #150: Duke With Near Sweep Of ACC Awards

from Duke Basketball Roundup · host Duke Basketball Roundup

The ACC has given us their end of season awards, and Duke cleaned up! We recap all the winners and team placements on DBR Bites #150. The ACC awards list is led by a near sweep of the main awards by Duke: Cameron Boozer won Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, Maliq Brown won Defensive Player of the Year and 6th Man of the Year, and Jon Scheyer won his first ACC Coach of the Year award. We go through all of the guys who made All-ACC teams and placed in the awards voting and remark at how awesome it is for so many players to get recognized for awards. We also touch on the remarkable toughness Duke Women’s Basketball showed in repeating as ACC Tournament champions. They also had several names on the ACC awards and teams, including Kara Lawson winning ACC Coach of the Year. We’re extremely proud of how they’ve poured it on lately and fought to be deserving champions! Make sure you’re following us!
