In het recent verschenen boek 'Worstelingen' neemt ondernemer Samuel Levie ons mee in zijn levensverhaal; hoe hij na een studie politicologie met twee vrienden worstmakerij Brandt & Levie oprichtte. Daarin bevindt zich ook de vraag: zit hij anno 2023 als worstmaker nog wel op het goede spoor? Zijn boek staat vol met avontuurlijke hoogtepunten, persoonlijke dilemma’s en een kritische reflectie op de rol van vlees in ons voedselsysteem en in het leven van worstmaker Samuel. Ook spreekt de ondernemer met mensen die de brede schaal van het debat over vlees vertegenwoordigen: van dierenbescherming tot slager. Hij geeft tips waarmee hij denkt dat iedereen die van lekker eten houdt, van vegan tot verstokt vleeseter, kan bijdragen aan een gezonder voedselsysteem. Jonathan van Noord ging er met hem over in gesprek. Deelnemers hebben hiermee inzicht in hun gezondheid en zitgedrag en zien hun ontwikkelingen op dit gebied. De technologie verzamelt data via Internet of Things. Privacy en veiligheid worden daarbij maximaal gewaarborgd. Bedrijven kunnen het platform onder meer inzetten om elkaar uit te dagen om meer op kantoor te bewegen en daarmee het zitgedrag te reduceren. Actieve kantoorwerkers verdienen Fitcoins als beloning voor gezond gedrag, waarmee zij hun digitale wallet voortdurend kunnen aanvullen.
