Wat hij daar tegenkwam was verslagenheid, hoop en tegelijkertijd woede in een land dat sterk gepolariseerd is. Terwijl het land nog diep verscheurd is, lopen de politieke spelletjes gewoon door. Gaan de verkiezingen die over drie maanden gepland zijn wel door? En wat zijn de plannen voor de wederopbouw? Dat vragen we Jens Franssen. (09:58) Is de wapenindustrie de lachende derde van de oorlog? Er wordt deze week op het internationale toneel volop gepraat over de levering van wapens aan Oekraïne, onder andere op de defensietop in Brussel en veiligheidsconferentie van München. De Europese wapenindustrie moet fors meer gaan produceren. Bijna één jaar na de invasie is de defensie-industrie weer helemaal hot. Is de wapenindustrie de lachende derde van de oorlog? Met Frank Slijper, internationale wapenhandelspecialist bij PAX én Siemon Wezemanwapenhandeldeskundige, werkzaam voor het Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
