Unrepentant people on earth continue to have the opportunity to yield to God all the way through His wrath.  That is, as God reveals Himself in a new way, and the people CLEARLY see it, they STILL REFUSE HIM.  God's wrath is perfectly just and perfectly applied.  As it is happening, heaven and earth pause ½ way through to have a little worship party. Even the targets of wrath recognize that is coming from the Almighty.  They can stop, turn around spiritually and say "I'm sorry" to God.  Do they? Not so much.
