My Winter Training Plan https://www.trainingpeaks.com/trainin...  #RECOVERYRUN #24hourrace #CamilleHerron  RECOVERY RUN It helps by increasing blood circulation, which will help the body process waste products.” Recovery runs can add volume to your whole training week, which can also boost your aerobic capacity, helping you run faster: the better the base, the more capacity you have to run harder and faster.   @runcamille I’ve been looking in my training log from back in 2015 to remember what I was doing leading up to the 100K World Championship. There was nothing excessive or fancy- just consistent high volume, 1-2 speed sessions/wk, and a long run of 18-22 miles. I ran a marathon 4 wks out, which was my longest run of the whole block. I’ve never done back-to-back long runs. I think the biggest thing I noticed is 3 months out, before I was in shape, I already had it on my mind I wanted to break 7 hrs for 100K. Having that mental note in my head is what fueled one of my best training blocks 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️. Our minds are very powerful motivators 🧠🌟!   @us24hr_team About 5:35 pm tomorrow night athletes will have this distraction from the track! We are excited to see some stunning performances tomorrow.
