Tonight we talk about healthcare—and I break it down as simply and honestly as I can.I explain why America needs Medicare for All or a single-payer system, like the one Canada uses, and why the current system is not “broken” at all. It’s working exactly as it was designed to work in the United States: to confuse you, to exhaust you, and to extract as much money as possible when you’re at your most vulnerable. I walk through how that design operates—and who benefits from it.Then I briefly touch on Trump’s latest ridiculous coin-toss spectacle. Is he OK?Finally, I zoom out to history. The current attacks on immigrants are not new. They are the same fear-driven movements America has seen over and over again—from the America First movement of Charles Lindbergh, to the anti-immigrant gangs of Gangs of New York, to countless other moments when newcomers were scapegoated for deeper failures of leadership and policy. And history is remarkably consistent on one point: people who build movements around hating immigrants never look good in the long run.I close by returning to Erica Kirk and her continued refusal to condemn Donald Trump’s violent rhetoric. She is not just a grieving widow—she is the CEO of one of the largest political movements in the country, Turning Point USA, wielding enormous influence and raising enormous sums of money. With that power comes responsibility.
