Learn about his career path; working with performing artists, the interconnectivity of neurology and orthopedics, building trust, and self advocacy. Dr. James Gallegro PT, DScPT, MSPT, CMPT, OCS, CSCS graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000 from Ithaca College and a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2015 from Andrews University. He completed a manual therapy certification (CMPT) from the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) with a concentration in differential diagnosis, as well as evaluation and treatment of the spine. James applied his knowledge as a professor of spinal orthopedics in a DPT program in NYC. Throughout his career as a physical therapist, he has focused specifically on outpatient orthopedics including weekend warriors, elite performance athletes and performing artists – mainly professional ballet dancers and Broadway performers. James currently lives and works in Raleigh NC.James has taught continuing education courses through Allied Health Education.
