Show Notes Mark 1:21-28 As Jesus taught in the synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out and interrupted His teaching. “Let us alone! What have we to do with You Jesus of Nazareth? Did you come to destroy us? I know who you are – the Holy One of God!” You Will Learn: Demons Recognize Authority Jesus wasn’t speaking to the demons but was preaching the Word of God. The Word of God was convicting the demons and caused a reaction. They recognized truth (the Word) spoken from authority. When truth is coupled with true authority, demons tremble and react. They recognized and exposed themselves. They recognized authority in Jesus. Do the Demons Recognize Authority in You? When you speak truth, preach the Word of God, or share a testimony and you receive an odd response, a demon spirit may have manifested itself. It recognizes authority in you. Rebuke the demon and cast it out. Don’t entertain it. Muzzle and Cast out the Demon Jesus rebuked it, muzzled it, and cast it out. You don’t counsel a demon you cast it out. The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud voice he came out of him. In this season, you shall now see what was always available to you, but you had not yet apprehended. Your eyes are being opened to the spiritual realm. If you will remain in your convictions an in your God appointed position, God will move you into higher realms of His authority and His power will be released through you.
