Desk of Ladyada - Lots of prototypes: Feather M4, QT Py ESP32-S2, and CP2102N

from Adafruit Industries · host Adafruit Industries

We had a smashing week of getting through some older prototypes. First up we have revised our CP2104 breakout to use the CP2102N as we covered last week, its the next 'generation' of Silabs usb-serial chips. Our rev B of Feather M4 adalogger is in, and we think we've got this one ready to ship. Finally we also got our 4-layer QT Py ESP32-S2 boards in and put together a prototype to verify the boards came out right (its our first 4 layer). The Great Search - ESP32-S2 chips of all flavors https://www.digikey.com/short/8qtrnqc8 This week's Great Search is about learning from mistakes - in this case I ordered the wrong ESP32-S2 chip for the QT Py S2, because I wasn't paying attention to all the variants. This is where it pays to check the Espressif datasheet for the specific chip naming *especially* since sometimes the part marking isnt clear. We recommend looking over the product selector at https://products.espressif.com/#/product-selector?language=en before booking your order - check the Flash, PSRAM and temperature offerings! #deskofladyada #thegreatsearch #adafruit Visit the Adafruit shop online - http://www.adafruit.com ----------------------------------------- LIVE CHAT IS HERE! http://adafru.it/discord Adafruit on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adafruit Subscribe to Adafruit on YouTube: http://adafru.it/subscribe New tutorials on the Adafruit Learning System: http://learn.adafruit.com/ -----------------------------------------
