The Boys Podcast Season 5 Episode 3

Lots of father and son discussions and Derek and John chat all about The Boys Season 5 Episode 3 Every One Of You Bitches. The officially unofficial Boys Podcast returns to chat all about the third episode of the final season of The Boys in spoiler filled detail. The Boys Season 5 Episode 3 Every One of You SynopsisHead Writer and Developed by - Eric KripkeBased on the comic series from Garth Ennis and Darick RobertsonExecutive Producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.Episode written by: Ellie MonahanEpisode directed by: Karen GaviolaSynopsis: Vought cleans up Soldier Boy's image and he becomes a member of The Seven. Sister Sage reveals that the first version of Compound V, V1, which Soldier Boy has, slows the aging process so much that it makes him practically immortal. This prompts Homelander, after an angelic hallucination of Madelyn Stillwell, to pursue a vial of the legendary compound V. V1. Meanwhile, the Boys, with Stan Edgar's help, locate a base where V1 may be located. Butcher finds Ryan and gets Ryan to agree that he will kill Homelander with the virus, even though it will kill both Butcher and Ryan in the process. Elsewhere, Zoe Neuman, still angry at Butcher for killing her mother, also finds out that her father, Sameer, is still alive. As they leave Butcher’s makeshift laboratory they destroy the remaining samples of the virus. The Deep, Cindy, Dogknott, and Black Noir II are after Stan Edgar for Homelander and arrive at his bunker. After getting inside, thanks to Maverick, Translucent’s son (who finally knows the truth about Hughie’s role in his killing), Noir captures Edgar. But in the game of the Seven, Deep betrays him, knocking him out, so that he can take Edgar to Homelander himself. In the fight at the bunker, meanwhile, Maverick confronts Hughie and in the fight Cindy kills Maverick and Annie kills Cindy. Against Butcher’s advice, and without the virus, Ryan confronts Homelander about raping his mother, Becca, which leads to a violent fight that leaves Ryan badly injured. As the Boys plan to find the V1 near the site of an old base called Fort Harmony, Annie takes off and leaves them, while Butcher finds the wounded Ryan.Episode CastKarl Urban as Billy ButcherJack Quaid as Hughie CampbellErin Moriarty as Annie January, aka StarlightAntony Starr as HomelanderJessie T. The Boys Podcast Season 5 Episode 2

John and Derek chat all about The Boys Season 5 Episode 2 Teenage Kix. The officially unofficial Boys Podcast returns to chat all about the second episode of the final season of The Boys in spoiler filled detail. The Boys Season 5 Episode 2 Teenage Kix SynopsisHead Writer and Developed by - Eric KripkeBased on the comic series from Garth Ennis and Darick RobertsonExecutive Producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.Episode written by: Jessica ChouEpisode directed by: Shana SteinSynopsis: Butcher leads the rest of the Boys to a laboratory, where Dr. Sameer Shah has perfected the virus to take out Homelander. Before they can be sure of the efficacy of the virus they need to do a test and plan to expose Rock-Hard from Teenage Kix to the virus. They intended to kidnap Rock Hard but he has become so massive they are forced to test the virus at Teenage Kix's crib. Following A-Train’s funeral, Homelanders self-centred introspection makes him realise his isolation and that only powerful can understand the powerful, so he awakens Soldier Boy from cryostasis for paternal reasons (I mean tactical reasons) and orders him to find Butcher in exchange for clearing his name. As Hughie, Butcher, and Kimiko get the virus from the lab they encounter Soldier Boy on their way back to Kix's Crib, forcing them to flee. Hughie and Kimiko race to get the virus to Frenchie, Starlight and MM who have been readying Rock Hard and the crib for the test; while Butcher lures Soldier Boy towards the crib as well as he sees an opportunity to test the virus on Homelander’s father. As Soldier Boy goes after Butcher he is accompanied by Teenage Kix members Jetstreak and Sheline, who have been rounding up Starlighters in the neighbourhood. Chasing down and confronting Kimiko, Sheline is knocked out while Jetstreak pursues and catches Hughie where he flies high to drop Hughie. Saved by Starlight, Hughie gets the virus to the house, just as Soldier Boy and Jetstreak arrive. Inside, the two supes are tricked to go after Hughie but it is Frenchie who releases the virus, killing Jetstreak, Rock-Hard, and seemingly Soldier Boy. The team make it back to their laboratory where Sameer tells them the virus does not transmit to humans allowing Frenchie and Kimiko to be reunited. While Frenchie wants her to leave because of the virus's lethality, she refuses. Both Kimiko and also Starlight are all in on the plan despite the risk to them from the virus. Back at the crib as Vought scientists begin to decontaminate the scene Homelander arrives and is devastated by the sight of the seemingly dead Soldier Boy as he turns and leaves, Soldier Boy suddenly awakens inside his bodybag.Episode CastKarl Urban as Billy ButcherJack Quaid as Hughie CampbellErin Moriarty as Annie January, aka StarlightAntony Starr as HomelanderJessie T. A great episode flashing back to the Viltrimite home planet in the second of three episodes released this week.Invincible 402 "I'll Give You The Grand Tour" SynopsisCreated by: Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, Cory WalkerEpisode Written by: Simon RacioppaDirected by: Jason ZurekOn the way to Talescria, home of the Coalition of Planets, Nolan recounts his ruthless Viltrumite upbringing to Allen the alien, detailing how he taught young cadets and was severely beaten by his parents to prove his adulthood. Shortly after, a devastating biological weapon, the Scourge virus, decimated the Viltrumites, including Nolan's parents. The Grand Regent quarantined the sick, blockaded the planet, and exterminated all alien slaves aware of the plague to protect their biggest flaw. The few remaining Viltrumites spread across the galaxy to find genetically compatible species, such as humans, for reproduction. On Talescria, Thaedus reveals he is the infamous Betrayer who assassinated the famous Viltrumite leader Emperor Argall which led to the initial cleanse of the species. Utilizing Nolan's knowledge, Allen helps covertly gather scattered ancient weapons and allies, including Space Racer and toxic Sinlak beetles for the Coalition to help destroy the Viltrimite threat. When they return, Thaedus privately confesses to Nolan that he also engineered the Scourge virus and possesses an improved strain. Though angered, Nolan departs to recruit his son from Earth after Thaedus assures the virus is only a last resort. Meanwhile, on the Viltrumite homeworld, Conquest returns and reports his failure to Grand Regent ThraggInvincible Season 4 CastSteven Yeun as Mark Grayson / InvincibleJ.K. He instinctively phones his mum to tell her he loves her.But Trevor Slattery calls him to apologise and says he has a solution: He revives his Mandarin persona and publicly claims responsibility for the explosion. No one ever saw that coming.Agent Cleary knows that Trevor is just taking the blame for Simon, but goes along with it because the DODC needs more prisoners to justify their expensive Yucca Valley, California prison. Following Trevor's arrest, Director Von Kovak insists they continue filming and tells Simon to use Trevor's betrayal for the scene where Wonder Man is betrayed by Barnaby. Wonder Man is finished with Joe Pantoliano taking over the role of Barnaby and the film is a huge success. At the premiere, his clearly delighted brother Eric tells Simon he’s proud of him. Meanwhile, Janelle tells Simon that he now has his pick of roles for his next project. With his new found fame Simon decides to shadow a DODC guard, Chuck Eastman, who hates his job, under the guise of making a new film. This gives Simon access to the DODC prison under an alias, just as Agent Cleary discovers that Simon's powers use ionic energy and proposes to his boss that Simon could be an asset or a threat. Simon manages to slip his work shadowing Chuck and finds Trevor's cell where he uses his powers to break Trevor out of prison and fly away with him.Wonder Man Episode 8 CastYahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon WilliamsBen Kingsley as Trevor SlatteryX Mayo as JanelleArian Moayed as Agent ClearyZlatko Buric as Von KovakShola Adewusi as Martha WilliamsWonder Man Pub QuizDuring each podcast we'll ask a question about each episode in our Wonder Man Pub Quiz. Wonder Man Episode 7 Kathy Friedman Review

Simon Williams struggles to be personable with the crew and to communicate his thoughts on the script, but is helped by Trevor Slattery. At a dinner meeting with his team his agent Janelle informs the pair that The New York Times journalist Kathy Friedman is writing a profile on them, terrifying Simon who describes her as a character assassin of the highest order, who could discover and reveal his secret, just like she did with Joseph Gordon Levitt. He becomes paranoid after learning that Friedman talked to his ex-girlfriend Vivian, his mom, and brother Eric about him for her story. Vivian reveals to Simon that she knows he has powers, but she did not say anything about them to Friedman. Still concerned as they sit down for their joint interview with Kathy Friedman the next day, Simon is surprised to learn that Eric only had good things to say and he’s really proud of him. It wasn’t Simon who should have been concerned Kathy Friedman grills Trevor about what happened after his arrest when he returned to US soil and asks him what government deal he cut to avoid returning to prison, prompting him to walk out of the interview. Confronted by Simon, Trevor confesses the truth of his deal with the Department Of Damage Control to spy on Simon but promises that he will find a way to get out of it. Upset and overwhelmed, Simon goes to a Wonder Man soundstage and unleashes a large explosion that destroys the set.Wonder Man Episode 6 CastYahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon WilliamsBen Kingsley as Trevor SlatteryX Mayo as JanelleOlivia Thirlby as VivianArian Moayed as Agent ClearyZlatko Buric as Von KovakShola Adewusi as Martha Williamswith Lauren Weedman as Kathy FriedmanWonder Man Pub QuizDuring each podcast we'll ask a question about each episode in our Wonder Man Pub Quiz. Wonder Man Episode 4 Doorman Review

In the standalone episode of Wonder Man Episode 4 "Doorman" we discuss the cautionary tale of how the Doorman clause came to Hollywood productions and how it can chew up and spit out even those that don't want fame. We chat about the episode in spoiler filled detail so make sure you've watched this one before joined us.Wonder Man Episode 4 "Pacoima" DetailsExecutive Producers are Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Destin Daniel Cretton, Andrew GuestDirected by James PonsoldtWritten by Zeke NicholsonEpisode Synopsis:Simon shares his concerns with Trevor that if his abilities are revealed to the world he will lose his career because of Hollywood’s “Doorman” clause. Unaware of the history, Simon explains to Trevor who caused the change to Hollywood’s inclusion of powered individuals.A few years ago, DeMarr Davis was a doorman for the Wilcox club in LA. Brushing shoulders with wealthy customers, musicians and actors he loved his job. But when he encountered some otherworldly goop from the Roxxon Corporation he developed special abilities. He now has the ability to teleport people and objects through solid matter. When a fire starts in the club, threatening the lives of everyone inside, DeMarr uses his new Doorman powers to get everyone out to safety. Eternally grateful for saving his life, Hollywood actor Josh Gad gives DeMarr a job as his assistant. DeMarr soon gets a role on Josh’s movie “Cash Grab” using his powers in a pivotal scene. The stunt works and DeMarr Davis becomes The Doorman, the superpowered actor with his own catch phrase. But it’s not Ding Dong for long as the public quickly get tired of DeMarr’s schtick. On the downward spiral, a glimmer of hope comes in the form of Josh offering him a role in “Cash Grab 2”. But when they try to create a new super powered sequence for the sequel it all goes horribly wrong. As one cash bag after another is safely transferred through Demarr it's time for Josh Gad’s character to also make his escape. But J-Gad goes in and J-Gad doesn't come out, disappearing, never to return.Hollywood was shocked and created a clause on all productions that would stop people with powers acting in any production ever again.Wonder Man Episode 4 CastByron Bowers as DeMarr “Doorman” DavisJosh Gad as HimselfMario Lopez as HimselfBridget as Charlotte RossJon A Abrahams as Frank PremengerYahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon WilliamsBen Kingsley as Trevor SlatteryWonder Man Pub QuizDuring each podcast we'll ask a question about each episode in our Wonder Man Pub Quiz. Wonder Man Episode 3 Pacoima Review

Derek and John are chatting about Wonder Man Episode 3 "Pacoima" as Trevor goes to meet Simon's family. We want to hear your feedback as the season goes on make sure you share it at the address below.Wonder Man Episode 3 "Pacoima" DetailsExecutive Producers are Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Destin Daniel Cretton, Andrew GuestDirected by James PonsoldtWritten by Madeline Walter and Paul WelshEpisode Synopsis:While Simon Williams is still waiting for an answer for his Wonder Man audition, the Department of Damage Control are concerned their funding will be cut. Their mission is to protect the US from super powered threats but their purpose built prison remains half empty and pressure is coming down from Congress to reduce the DODC’s budget.Agent Cleary has information on two incidents that might include Simon Williams. An explosion at his home as a child and a porta-potty explosion on the set of The Rookie while Simon was there. In order to connect these, Agent Cleary threatens Trevor Slattery to interrogate Simon’s family and friends at his mum’s birthday party. At the event Trevor learns a new kitchen has been installed with an island. The very thing Simon's mum has always wanted. But Trevor learns very little about Simon except that he’s always been alone and he’s always been lonely. His family, friends and neighbours don’t understand his acting career and believe he’s lazy and overly dependent on his family. After everyone leaves the party, Simon’s brother Eric pushes Simon to admit he got fired from American Horror Story and give up on his acting dreams. The stress sends Simon over the edge and his powers explode out of him destroying his mother’s newly treasured kitchen island.Later Simon apologises to Trevor for his explosive powers that have never been witnessed before by anyone outside of the family, but empathetic to Simon’s loneliness, Trevor chooses to destroy the taped evidence from his wire instead of delivering it to Damage Control.Meanwhile Simon’s agent, Janelle, calls to inform him that both actors have callbacks for roles in Wonder Man, but Simon is concerned his whole career would be over if anyone finds out about his powers because all Hollywood productions ban powered actors following the case of Demarr “Doorman” Davis.Wonder Man Episode 3 CastYahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon WilliamsBen Kingsley as Trevor SlatteryX Mayo as JanelleOlivia Thirlby as VivianArian Moayed as Agent ClearyZlatko Buric as Von KovakWonder Man Pub QuizDuring each podcast we'll ask a question about each episode in our Wonder Man Pub Quiz. Theo becomes interested in Didi and asks her to come upstairs with him, though she brings Sexton along. They realize it is a setup, as Theo has realized who Didi is as he had summoned Death to the club to bring back his girlfriend Natalie. They try to talk to a distraught Theo, who ends up falling and injuring himself before being taken to a hospital. The next day, Didi buys a locket and asks Sexton to give it to Hettie. Didi suddenly dies after her day off and Hettie reveals that the locket contains her soul with it containing a picture of her daughter inside. Once back at home, Sexton asks Jackie out. While Didi wakes up in Death's realm and tells Death she loves mortality and doesn't want it to end.Made Possible with PatreonTV Podcast Industries is made possible by our supporters on Patreon. Stan considers using Thomas as a weapon to challenge Homelander and reclaim control of Vought.Cipher’s true intentions come into focus: to purge Godolkin of all but the most powerful Supes, leaving only the elite standing. He reveals this genocidal plan to Polarity—who violently rejects it, hurling Cipher out a window using his powers. Meanwhile, Cate pleads with Marie to use her powers to heal her, but Marie refuses. She leaves the protection of Stan Edgar's secure bunker closely followed by Cate.Episode CastJaz Sinclair as Marie MoreauLizze Broadway as Emma Meyer/Little CricketLondon Thor as Jordan LiDerek Luh as Jordan LiMaddie Phillips as Cate DunlapAsa Germann as SamSean Patrick Thomas as PolarityHamish Linklater as Dean Cipherwith Keeya King as Annabeth Moreauand Giancarlo Esposito as Stan EdgarThe Gen V Student Bar QuizDuring each podcast we'll ask a question about each episode in our Gen V Season 2 Student Bar Quiz.
