Desk of Ladyada - Return to Py Camera

from Adafruit Industries · host Adafruit Industries

We had been working on a lot of camera support for CircuitPython. We're getting back to that project now with an all-in-one DIY camera board with an OV5640 camera module and an ESP32-S2. You really do want PSRAM to buffer large images like 1440p JPEGs for saving to disk. One thing that we bumped into is that SD cards can be very finicky when initialized into SPI mode on a shared bus, but we found a way around it! The Great Search - panel mount S-Video (DIN-4) connector https://www.digikey.com/short/jvtv2t4z For our Atari Video Music machine mod - we want to add an S-Video output port. S-Video splits the signal from NTSC into chroma and luma, so the signal tends to be clearer and more stable. Thankfully the chip in the AVM gives us the chroma and luma on separated pins so we just have to wire them up to a standard S-Video connector. Lets see how we can find one that will perfectly fit on the AVM without any drilling or gluing! #deskofladyada #thegreatsearch #adafruit Visit the Adafruit shop online - http://www.adafruit.com ----------------------------------------- LIVE CHAT IS HERE! http://adafru.it/discord Adafruit on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adafruit Subscribe to Adafruit on YouTube: http://adafru.it/subscribe New tutorials on the Adafruit Learning System: http://learn.adafruit.com/ -----------------------------------------
