Desk of Ladyada - S3 Sunday and Some Samples

from Adafruit Industries · host Adafruit Industries

This week we've been working on more and more revisions and also trying to get some older designs out the door. For example, we've got some ESP32-S3 feather and QT Py designs that we didn't release due to some errors and also S3 support in the world wasn't quite ready. But with our revised S2 design done, we swapped out a board on the panel with an S3 mini module and there's even Arduino support in espressif's esp32 branch. Let's maybe go through how we add support for a new ESP32 board together. Also, a transparent OLED sample arrived, it looks very cool! The Great Search - 16 Bit Digital Analog Converter (DAC) https://www.digikey.com/short/070qrqv7 We got a request over email for a 16-Bit resolution DAC to match with the 16-Bit ADC we stock (ADS1115). Not a bad idea! We stock a few DAC breakouts (https://www.adafruit.com/?q=dac&sort=BestMatch) but they are either 8-bit or 12-bit MCP47xx's, and there may be times you really want something a little smoother for precision control. We're going to try and make something with Stemma QT so I2C control. #deskofladyada #thegreatsearch #adafruit Visit the Adafruit shop online - http://www.adafruit.com ----------------------------------------- LIVE CHAT IS HERE! http://adafru.it/discord Adafruit on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adafruit Subscribe to Adafruit on YouTube: http://adafru.it/subscribe New tutorials on the Adafruit Learning System: http://learn.adafruit.com/ -----------------------------------------
