DeSoto County residents sue xAI over data center noise / Man sentenced to 30 years in prison for strangling girlfriend

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Elon Musk-founded xAI over alleged noise coming from the company's Southaven data center operations. The lawsuit alleges that a persisting humming sound, along with a vibration that can be physically felt, has caused some DeSoto County residents distress. A Rankin County man will spend 30 years behind bars for strangling his girlfriend. 39-year-old James McManus Jr. was handed the lengthy sentence after breaking into a Florence home last September and assaulting the victim.
