Destroying Anxiety One Flip at a Time
from The 1% Better Method · host Austin Bagshaw
I decided I wanted to learn how to backflip my senior year of college (Fall 2018). Once I learned it, it implanted confidence in myself that has never left. I don’t do backflips to show off. I don’t do them because it’s the best feeling in the world. I do them because it is a constant reminder that I am a confident person. I do them to battle that stupid voice in my head that I start to believe. I do them to stay in the present moment as much as possible and decide from that point on what every happens is completely up to me. I do them as a constant reminder to not take myself so seriously. Life is short. I’m not going to be a young/able body my whole life. But I will train my body like an athlete until a doctor tells me not to haha.Backflips reinstate that belief. So if you ever catch me doing a backflip on the golf course, trust me, it's for me, not you!Connect with Austin Instagram Free Email ListWebsiteCoaching ApplicationSupport the show
