Developing Your Spiritual Growth: Family Ties with Pastor Benn

This week we invited Pastor Benn back to close out the series segment on family. He shared his sentiments on how love is always the answer to bridging the gap between families. He also dispelled the belief on how just because your parents were one way, that doesn’t mean you have to carry that same weight of a burden because we all have to face the judgment seat of Christ on our own. We also discussed the difference between a stronghold and an addiction. Stronghold - a stronghold assumes a spiritual dimension. An addiction doesn’t. A stronghold assumes there is something behind the scenes that is cooperation with something visible on the scene. That is keeping one trapped in the situation they‘re in. If the person can ever get the spiritual right. The physical has to set them free. God created us for him, but he also created us for ETERNITY!!!  Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from.” God set eternity in our hearts. So that man may not find out its meaning apart from him (God). Addiction. Means you may NEVER get out of this. This  conversation was hot from beginning to end.
