DEVOUT FAMILY – LESSONS FROM CORNELIUS: Rev Peter Ameadaji (MAY 05, 2024)

A fortnight ago, I fellowshiped with and ministered at our daughter church, The Wellspring Foursquare Church, Lekki-Oniru, (one of the five expressions of the Lekki-Oniru Foursquare Church) at their first (1st) anniversary. Their theme was ‘The legacy of Faith’ and the focus was on Lois, Eunice and Timothy. As I shared on the theme and the story of that family, I noticed that the influence of the Father of Eunice, the husband of Lois was missing. The account was also silent on the spiritual influence of the husband of Eunice and the father of Timothy. I was forced on that occasion to ask the question, ‘where are the men?’ I was pleasantly delighted as I started reflecting on our passage and message for this morning to see that, at the forefront of a devout family was a devout man called Cornelius. My heart was truly delighted to see the difference that a devout man made in his family. Are you a Devout man?
