Since I was a kid I felt like connection with food as it has been always there.从小我就觉得与食物有着不解之缘，因为它始终陪伴在我身边。Ever since I was born. You know my mother always, like, taking care of us.打我出生以来，我的妈妈就一直照顾我们。Cooking the food that I grew up with and doing the things that I do makes me feel really proud, makes me feel proud of the culture, makes me feel proud of, like, where I come from, of my family, of the people that I grew up around.烹饪我从小吃到大的食物，做我一直在做的事情，让我感到无比自豪，让我为自己的文化感到骄傲，也让我为自己的出身、我的家人以及我成长过程中身边的人感到骄傲。Mexico and Mexican people and the culture have so much to offer than what we normally see or perceive.墨西哥、墨西哥人民及其文化所展现出的魅力，远超我们日常的所见与认知。Because of the amount of spices and different types of ingredients that are used in the cuisine, it reminds me of like Thai food or Indian cuisine where it's just so expansive, like there's so much you can do with it.由于这种烹饪中使用的香料种类繁多且配料多样，它让我联想到泰国菜或印度菜，它们的菜品丰富多样，能用这些食材做出很多不同的菜肴。And it's packed with flavor you know. It has the corn. We boil it with water.这家餐厅的招牌菜是玉米猪肉浓汤，里面有玉米粒，我们用水慢慢煮。We let it cook slowly. We put dry oregano and salt. And we let it cook. And then we also on the side we make salsa that goes on the actual broth.然后就让它慢慢煮着，加入干牛至和盐，然后继续炖煮。然后我们还会在旁制作辣番茄酱，加了这个酱才能算是真正的肉汤。So it has guajillo chilis, garlic, onion. We grind the peppers and then we add it to the pot. Everything that they do here is just great. I know that it's well prepared, thoughtfully prepared, and authentically prepared. It is done with care.
