DIALOG 06 - Tanner Guzy, Extegrity, and Visible Authenticity

from DIALOG

Men are being paid to make men angry and keep them angry—sometimes by the very people they claim as their enemies. In the premiere episode of DIALOG, hosts Jack Donovan and CB Robertson explore the concepts of rage, thumos—and even hate—and talk about how they can be manipulated for good or ill.💬DIALOG comes from two words Dia (διά) means through, across, between. Logos (λόγος) means word, speech, reason, account, discourse. The compound dialogos means a conversation or exchange of words passing through or between parties. Earliest attested uses in Greek refer to the conversational sections of philosophical and dramatic works, as opposed to monologue or narrative. In a world of sensationalism and hot takes, the project of DIALOG is to seek the Aristotelian mean. What is reasonable, what makes the most sense, what is best? To create a new golden age, we have to decide what we want and where we want to go—or at least decide on the best general direction. This is not weak compromise or safe centrism. The mean we are seeking is the difficult, active balance between excess and deficiency that produces excellence, strength, and enduring order. This is the hard middle path that serious men have always sought when they intend to build rather than merely complain or entertain.✍️Jack Donovan is a gonzo anthropologist who lives in Arizona. He is the author of The Way of Men, Becoming a Barbarian, A More Complete Beast, and Fire in the Dark. For nearly twenty years he has written and spoken on masculinity, philosophy, and the conditions that allow strong men to thrive. His work moves past trends and moral fashion to the permanent things.✍️CB Robertson is a blue-collar philosopher who works as an electrician. He is a husband and the father of five children and lives in Eastern Washington. He is the author of The Hero and the Man: Language, Truth, and the Homeric Origins of Western Idealism, In Defense of Hatred, and Holy Nihilism: The Moral and Spiritual Case Against Christianity. For many years he has produced YouTube commentaries under the name Caffeine and Philosophy.🔥Both men are Solar Idealists, founding members of The Order of Fire’s First Men, and contributors to PH2T3R: A Journal for Solar Culture. In DIALOG they bring their different experiences and shared commitments to questions that matter. They do not chase controversy or agreement. They seek what actually works for men who mean to create something that lasts.🔥To learn more about Solar Idealism and The Order of Fire, visit https://orderoffire.com/Or follow our YouTube channel: /@orderoffireJACK DONOVAN’S BOOKS📖The Way of Men https://amzn.to/4aITiG7📖Becoming a Barbarian https://amzn.to/4bZL0KQ📖A More Complete Beast https://amzn.to/4bBLKpD📖Fire in the Dark https://amzn.to/3VhdV7HBuy CB Robertson’s Books📖The Hero and the Man: Language, Truth, and the Homeric Origins of Western Idealism https://amzn.to/4cCZL9O📖Letter to Anwei: An Explanation of Human Identity and Transgenerational Ethics https://amzn.to/4tCAzpM📖Holy Nihilism: The Moral and Spiritual Case Against Christianity https://amzn.to/4dbNxoA📖In Defense of Hatred https://amzn.to/4ukloBPCONNECTJack Donovan⚡SUBSTACK: https://mrjackdonovan.substack.com/⚡INSTAGRAM: @starttheworld⚡OFFICIAL WEBSITE: https://jack-donovan.com/CB Robertson⚡SUBSTACK: https://cbrobertson.substack.com/⚡INSTAGRAM @caffeineandphilosophy⚡OFFICIAL WEBSITE:https://caffeineandphilosophy.com/
