わたしが初めて点字投票をしたのは、自立訓練開始、半年後の夏でした。ちょうど点字訓練で「書き方」に入り、歩行訓練では、電車に乗って区役所へ行くことが仕上がった頃でした。訓練で習ったことを生活で実践する、というマイ・プロジェクトは、確かな自信となり、喜びと楽しさをもたらしたのでした。
