Diane Abbott: history maker and trailblazer!

Diane Abbott made history as Britain’s first black woman MP. Her memoir, ‘A woman like me’ provides an insight into her childhood and her political career. As a child of the Windrush generation, she experienced racism from a very early age. She defied the odds by studying history at Cambridge University before she embarked on her political career.
